There was present Supervisor R. D. Robbins, chairman, In the chair, and Supervisors E. R. Steinberg and Henry Hitzhusen. Absent: . none. Minutes of last meeting approved. , BtsdlutloD Whereas, Julia Hansen is liable to Cerro Gordo County. Iowa, for the . care and keep of Harry Harden at the - County Hospital for a. period from June 30, 141 to and Including Juno 30, 1943, Whereas, the Board of Supervisors ieel that it is to the best interests of all'concerned that the amount due the county be compromised. Now Therefore be it resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, that the amount due for the said care and keep of the said Harry Hansen for the period as set forth, be compromised and settled for the sum of ?200.00 which sum has been paid to the said county as evidenced by the County Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts No. 5586 and No. 6609. · Motion, was made by Supervisor Steinberg; seconded by Supervisor Hitthusen. that the foregoing resolution be adopted. Motion carried without dissenting vote. Resolution declared adopted this 9th day oi February, 1344. Eesolution Whereas 1 , Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, li by virtue of a tax deed the owner of Lot 15, Block 5, West Haven Addition to Mason Ciiy f Iowa, and Whereas, Earl F. Hodenfield has offered the sum of $41.00 for the purchase of the said lot. and Whereas, the said sum is equal to the full amount of the County's bid at tax sale plus accrued general taxes, interest and penalties. Now Therefore be it resolved by the Board of Supervisors ol Cerro Gordo - County, Iowa, that the said offer be · accepted and that R, D. Robbies, Chairman of said Board of Supervisors, be and he is hereby appointed, pursuant to the provisions of section 10260,3, Code of Iowa, to execute and acknowledge, for and on behalf ol Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, a special warranty deed conveying the said de- . scribed lot to the said Earl F. Chairman of said Board of Supervisors, to execute and acknowledge, for and on behalf of said County, a Special Warranty Deed conveying Lot ID. Block 5, West Haven Addition to Mason City, Iowa, to Earl F. Hodenfield. and Whereas, pursuant to the said resolution. the said R. D. Bobbins did execute nd acknowledge the said deed. Iowa, for taxes assessed against the Palace Billard Parlor or Palace Pool Hall in Mason City. Iowa, for the years 1534 to 1942 in- elusive, and Whereas, it appears that the said taxes are no* collectible in full and that they are not a lien against any real estate, and Whereas, K- Veselea has offered the sum of $30S.95 in compromise settlement of the aid taxes and Interest or penalties thereon. Now Therefore be it resolved by the .- Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo . County, Iowa, that the said offer be · accepted, and that the .County Trcas- Tirer of said county is authorized to accept the said sum in. full and com' plete settlement of the said taxes and Interest or penalties thereon. Resolution Whereas, the Estat e o£ Charles Edmund KerlLn, Deceased, is indebted to Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, for personal taxes assessed against the said Charles Edmund Kerlfn, and Whereas, it appears that it Is to the best interest of the said County that said taxes be compromised and settled. Now Therefore be it resolved by . the Board of Sup cxvisors of Cerro Gordo County. Iowa, acting pursuant ; to authority granted by Section 12781.2, Code of Iowa, that the County Treasurer of said County, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to accept the sum of $3.00 in full and complete compromise settlement of the said taxes, interest or penalties, Motion was made by Supervisor Hiti- husen. seconded by Supervisor Steinberg, that the foregoing resolution be adopted. M. for the sum of Four Hundred and thirty Dollars ($420.003 which sum was paid by Donald Ebaugh, and Whereas, through a misunderstanding the deed to said property was made to Patricia Fern Ebaugh. a minor, daughter of Donald Ebaugn, and said deed was filed lor record and recorded before the said Donald Ebaugh linew his minor daughter Patricia Fern Ebaugh was the grantee in said deed, and Whereas, the said Donald Ebaugh has requested the Board of Supervisors to have said deed corrected £0 that he will appear as grantee therein.
