Larson p JOICE--Move than 75 friends and neighbors gathered at the local school gymnasium Monday evening for a fare well, presented by the Music Mothers organization for Mrs. S. N. Larson. The program included several selections by the high school band, directed by J. Wendell Schar and selections by fhe'boys' glee club, the girls' glee club, the mixed chorus and a girls' sextet; all directed by Miss Kathryn Tweeten. A gift of remembrance was presented to Mrs. Larson by Mrs. Walter Felland from her friends and lunch was served by those present. EXCLUSIVE WITH HOME PROJECT LEADERS MEET Fannie Gannon Will Address Meeting at Emmetsburg Saturday EMMETSBTJRG--Home project .eaders of Farm Bureau organizations of Kossuth, Emmet and Palo Alto counties will hold a dis- :ussion group meeting at Emmets- surg on Saturday. Sessions will be held in the city hall building. Fannie Gannon, extension home management specialist from Iowa tate college at Ames, will address he group. Mrs. Ruth Hicks .of Algona, Kossuth county home demonstration agent, will head the Kossuth 3elegation.. About 10 representatives, from Emmet county are expected to attend. A second joint meeting o£ Kosuth, Emmet and Palo Alto county farm groups will be held at Emmetsburg on March 6, when leaders and members o£ the girls' 4-H clubs convene for an all day session. The meeting will be held in the Kermore hotel here. Schedule Arranged for Plays Entered in Stare Festival IOWA C I T Y -- A presentation schedule which will enable the state play production festival to be completed without dificulty in the allotted time has been worked out "by University of Iowa officials. Donald Winbigler, director of the affair, announced that junior colleges and community groups would give their plays MarSh 23 24, and 25. It was believed two weeks ago that it would be necessary to schedule an extra day The final total is 115 casts, as compared with 80 which set the record a year ago. No more entries will be accepted but it is possible that there may "be several withdrawals. High schools have been given six days to present their plays op enmg March 27 and closing Apri I. Casts from the schools far out number those in the junior col Icge and community divisions. Clarion Chapter FS of PEO Convenes at Home of Mrs. Young CLARION--Chapter FS of P. E O. met Tuesday afternoon at th home of Mrs. 'Elma Young. Mrs. H. C. Hansen gave a talk on the organization of the chapter which was organized in 1921; two vocal numbers were presented by Miriam Sankey, Frances Young and Kathryn Jerde; and Miss Jo sephine Goldsmith read a group o. original poems written by high school students. Following this program tea wa: served, Mrs. Belle Birdsall-pouring. The committee included Mrs Young, Mrs. Birdsall, Mrs. George Mechem, and Mrs. P. M.
