Road Beautification Project in Iowa Let AMES, March 30. (.Tl--Notice of letting- of contracts for the state's first highway beautiHcation project has been announced by the highway commission. Contracts are to be let April 10 for the purchase of trees, shrubs and vines for the project on state highway 15 from Ames to Jewell. The project is said to the largest highway improvement schedule ever undertaken by the commission at one time. The beautification is a federal aid project. '.Pi- New home construction in Iowa's first class cities during February more than doubled that during February, 1933, the monthly housing report of the state health department ahuv.'s.
