Grade Teachers Hear Review of New Barnes Book At a meeting Monday evening o, f the book review and current event department of the Grade Teachers asociation held in the public library assembly room, Mrs. Lloyd Roberts reviewed "Within This Present," a recent novel by Margaret Ayre Barnes. The story is an account of the Sewells, a conservative, cultured Chicago family of importance, tracing- the rapidly changing events in their scial and ecnomic life through the period of depression to "Within This Present" period of reorganization. Mrs. Roberts began the review by giving a short scketch of the author's life. Following the telling of the story, Mrs. Roberts read a personal letter that she had received from the author, Mrs. Barnes. Charles E. Cornwell gave a review of international affairs, going back to past agreements and treaties and tracing them through to the Vi^fSlations of our own anc ? CT ' I Thinents.
