Board Proceedings BCGULAJt SEPTEMBER SESSION, NOVEMBER 1, 1913 SIXTH DAY The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, loxva, met In regular Ms- ·ion pursuant to adjournment. There wal present. Supervisor W- D. Gibson, chairman, in the chair, and Supervisors R- D. Bobbins and E. R. Steinberg. Absent: Konc. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. KeioluUoB WHEREAS, an application has been made for the abatement of the motley and credit assessment assessed against the A. R. Sale estate on roll No. 110, 3rd Ward, Majou City, Iowa, for the year 1943, and WHEREAS, an application has been made for the abatement of the money and credit assessment assessed against Fred W. Swanson, Administrator of the Estate of Tena Swansea, on assessment roll No. 144, 3rd Ward, Mason City, Iowa, for the year 1M3, and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors have sought legal counsel In the matter and have an attorney's opinion that the gald assessments are illegal. NOW THEREFORE, Be It Resolved, by the Board of Supervisors cf Cerro Gordo County. Iowa, that the said as* sessments be abated, Motion was made by Supervisor Steinberg, seconded by Supervisor Bobbins, that the foregoing resolution be adopted. Motion carried, the vote thereon result- ninx as follows: Ayes: Supervisors Steinberg, Bobbins and Gibson. Nays: None Resolution declared adopted this 1st day of November, 1943. Motion was made by Supervisor Robbins, seconded by Supervisor Steinberg that the appointment of Arthur Awe as Deputy Sheriff, and the bond filed in cident to said appointment, be rejected Motion carried, the vote thereon resulting Campbell, J. Iowa, and WHEREAS, Carl S. Eraser has offered the sum ot $33.00 for the par- chase of the said lot, and WHEREAS, the sum Is equal to the lull amount of the County's bid at Tax Sale, plus accrued general taxes, penalties and Interest now unpaid in the County Treasurer's office of Cerro Cordo County, Iowa, NOW THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo Co unty, Iowa, that the said Offer be accepted and that W. Motion was made by Sup ervisor Rob bins, seconded by Supervisor Steinberg, that the appointment of Phyllis Woodhouse as Clerk in the office of the Assistant County Attorney be approved and that her compensation be fixed at £75.00 per month effective December 1. 1343. Motion carried without dissenting vote. Motion was made by Supervisor Steinberg, seconded by Supervisor Robbins that the Assistant County Attorney be granted 535.00 per month for office rent, effective December i r 1943. Motion carried without dissenting vote. There being no further business to come before the Board, motion was made by Supervisor R. D. Hobblns, seconded by Supervisor E. R.
