Hogeland, pioneer of Franklin county and a resident of Iowa Falls the past 12 years, who died nt his home here Friday morning was buried today. Complications that followed a slight stroke and a nervous breakdown about a year ago, resulted in his death. Mr. Hogeland. was born in Lynchburg, Va., Sept. 10, 1852. He was a son of a wealthy plantation owner In the old dominion state, whose fortune was wrecked by the Civil war. Coming west when a young man of 25, he, engaged In farming in Franklin! county where he resided until his retirement 12 years ago. Ho was one of the oldest 'members in the I. O. O. F. lodge at Hampton. His widow nnd seven children survive him, three boys and four girls. The funeral was held at the Woods funeral home and interment was in Alden.
