(.Tl --Investigators report there is no evidence to warrant criminal action ag-ainst Esther Magill, 17 year old Whitinsville girl, in the alleged drowning of Mrs. Alice Sherman by her husband. Newell Sherman, Sutton choir singer and scoutmaster. Assistant Dist. Atly. Alfred B. Cenedella said Miss Magill, who has }een called the "unconscious reason" for the alleged slaying, "is a very material witness, but there is no evidence to warrant criminal action against her." Cenedella previously announced :hat Sherman made a full confession 16 drowned the mother of his two children by overturning their canoe n Lake Singletary Saturday night. Miss Magill was questioned yesterday and after the interrogation was allowed to return to her home.
