Something to make the home more charming, more livable, something to serve through months or years of service as a happy reminder of the giver's thoughtfulness. If you are seeking- such a gift you'll find suggestions In plenty--in the department stores, in furniture and gift shops--in specialty stores throughout the city. This year designers of home fur- nishirigs seem to have teen blessed with an especial flair for the creation of beautiful and useful articles. Furniture, particularly the lovely occasional pieces, is a gift choice worth considering. Scarcely a household but would appreciate a smart nest of tables in maple. The simple fine lines according with almost any scheme of interior decoration. Just now there is an especial interest in the simple, nigged furniture of Old Mexico. Chairs with cane seats and ladder backs, corner cupboards to lend a colorful note because of the gay painted decorations that cover the open shelves. Ideal for Dad.
