FILMLAND EVENTS Flora Robson Joins TV . JDronston in Two British stars hive r been added to Samuel Bron-ston's ,"55 Days at Peking," which goes before the cameras the end of this month in Madrid. The Empress Dowager of China, Tzu Hsi will be portrayed by Dame Flora Robson and her son Prince Tuan by Robert Help. mann. Nicholas Ray will direct the film from Philip Yordan's screenplay. Allied Artists will distribute domestically. Charlton Heston and Ava Gardner were previously signed. ;..,..' t.;- Diana Dors has been signed for a starring role in Tommy Noonan Productions' - "Promise Her Anything," which, should begin filming in August after the arrival of her expected baby. The plan is for the baby to also play a part m the film. Joseph Stefanb, who wrote the screenplay for "Psycho," will do the same for "Han- no's Doll" which Elliot Kast- tier and. Stan Shpetner will film for their own company with Jane Fonda as the star. Warner Bros, has cast Andrew Duggan in a co-starring role with Don Knotts and Carole Cook in the stu dio's "Mr. Limpet" which goes before the cameras shortly. He will soon be seen in "Merrill's Maraud ers" and "The Chapman Re port also from a r n e r Bros. Audrey Caire, TV com mercial actress in Hollywood and New York, has been signed by producer Steve Bennett for her feature mo tion picture debut as the female lead in "Return of Mr. H.". The horror tale will be filmed by Bennett's com pany, Sans Productions, from a screenplay by Ben nett and Richard Miles with David "Bradley directing. This is the first of six pictures planned by Bennett. Libra Productions has set Miss Tracv Olsen for one of the leads in "Sappho" to be shot in Rome this fall. She recently completed the lead role in their Son of the Buc caneer." Andre . Previn has been signed to compose and conduct the musical score for "Two for the Seesaw," Mi risch Pictures-Robert Wise presentation starring Robert Mitchum and Shirley Mac-j Lame. United Artists re leases, James Shigeta has been signed to headline the 4th annual "50th State Fair" in Hawaii June 27, 28 and 29.
