Rocky Mountain Queen to Visit Sheriff's Rodeo The Rocky Mountain regional winner of the Miss. Rodeo America Queen contest will be a guest of Sheriff Biscailuz at the annual Sheriff's Rodeo Aug. 21 in the Coliseum, it was announced yesterday by John R. Moss, general manager.

The regional winner will be chosen Aug. 12-13 at the Central Wyoming Fair in Casper, Wyo. Latest entrant is Sandra Lee Shoup of Southerland, named Miss Buffalo Bill at North Platte, Neb. Other contestants will come from South Dakota, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and Canada. The queen will be selected for appearance, personality and horsemanship.

Classified Managers Will Meet Tomorrow The Southern California Classified Managers Association will meet at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the Huntington-Sheraton Hotel, Pasadena. E. M. Chapman will be principal speaker and will discuss human relations, and plans will be made for the 1956 Western Classified Advertising Association convention.

Louise Owens Hartranft, 83, president of California Home Extension Association, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Forest Lawn's Church of the Recessional under the direction of Forest Lawn Mortuary. Mrs. Hartranft and her late husband, Marshall V. Hartranft, were responsible for opening many new real estate sections in the North Los Angeles, Glendale, Montrose, Sunland and Tujunga areas.

Their first development, in Glendale and Montrose, was made in 1892. Her occurred at Behrens Memorial Hospital Glendale. She lived at 10203 Sherman Grove Sunland. She leaves sister, Mrs. Etta Freeman, a grandson and two granddaughters.

Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial-Park will follow services. Mrs. Laura B. Kline Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Brown Kline, 87, of 12654 Hatteras Hollywood, will be conducted at 11 a.m.

She was long an active member of the Daylight Chapter 265, Order of the Eastern Star. She leaves a niece, Miss Margaret McKinney of North Hollywood, and six nephews in Ohio. Costas Athens Funeral services for Costas Athens, 84, minister, will be conducted by Pierce Bros. Valhalla Mortuary today at noon in Angelus Temple, followed by interment in Valhalla Memorial Park. Oscar Nuffmann The Rev. Oscar Nuffmann, 76, retired minister and missionary, died yesterday at his home, 6181 Springvale Drive, after a brief illness. Mr. Nuffmann spent the last 11 years before his retirement as a minister at St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church here.

He served as a missionary in- India and Java before coming to the United States about 30 years ago and prior to coming to Southern California was a minister in Evangelical and Reformed churches in Florida, Louisiana, and Kansas. leaves his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Nuffmann, and a nephew and two brothers. Penrose Funeral services for Mrs. Perle Rogers Penrose, a resident of Los Angeles for 55 years who died Sunday at her home, 5618 Berkshire Drive, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Forest Lawn Memorial- -Park's Little Church of the Flowers, with arrangements by Forest Lawn Mortuary. A native of Iowa, Mrs. Penrose had been active for over 50 years in the Bethel Temple Church in Los Angeles.

Elza J. Brugmann, 80, will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Pierce Bros. Los Angeles Chapel, under the auspices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, followed interment in Rosedale Cemetery. She lived at 534 Workman Arcadia, and died Sunday.

She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Lillian P. Wackerbarth: three sisters; a brother, Esaias Lindley; four grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. Algie E. Johnston Funeral services for Algie Edward Johnston, 80, retired department store executive, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m.
