The increased traffic in this central business area and the volume of business experienced in this store is more than gratifying, according to officials, and has necessitated several major enlargements. Within the past sixty days the Boy's and the Cadet Depart- officially completed today with the formal opening of Desmond's modernized and enlarged Seventh-and-Hope-streets store was prompted by phenomenal business experienced in all departments of the original ment, which occupy one complete floor, have been entirely remodeled and refurnished. The Woman's Shop, on the second floor, has been redecorated and refurnished.

And the executive and general offices have been enlarged to occupy one complete floor. Remodeling of the Uniform Department is now under way as well as enlargement of the Varsity Shop, and expansion and remodeling of the men's Sporta Shop. The expansion programs at this store and at the Seventh-street location, prompted by the need for increased selling and service space, has made it necessary for the organization to move its stock warehousing operations to a large new warehouse at Eleventh' and Hope streets, officials stated. store at that location, according to Ralph R. Important to those who window-shop at night is the new controlled indirect lighting in all windows to impart equal realisms of color and detail by day or night. A combination of colored lights maintains daylight conditions at all times.
