He will follow in the wake of "South Pacific" on the island of Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands. Griffith, who functions as writer, producer and director, will make the feature in color and for wide screen.

Hall hopes to continue beyond this with features, doing two in the Orient and then a western. This will give him the chance to develop a new public in the theaters following his long connection with Ramar of the Jungle on TV. He made 52 films in that series during a four-year period, and these have been many times rerun. Hall has not settled on production details as yet for his later proposed feature films. He says he is more than happy about "going back to my old self" in pictures.

y. Tony Curtis, who has liked the work of Jack Cardiff, noted cameraman for "The Vikings," is proving this doubly by securing Cardiff to direct two films for Curt-leigh Productions, the organization which Curtis formed with his wife Janet Leigh. He expects to announce the first film In about a month, and will do this in Europe next spring. Directing is a new chore for Cardiff. The twists and turns of the plot of "Witness for the Prosecution" should by now enjoy considerable fame. Seen even a second or third time, this play still holds ex ceptional interest. There are, amazingly enough some new devices to be discovered along the line, lhe play is indeed one of the most skillfully written of the type. Much Suspense How the plot evolves from the point when Leonard Vole, played by Michael Hall, is imprisoned for the apparent ly willful murder of a wealthy elderly woman, is bound to fascinate all observers. Introductory action where he convinces his attorneys of his innocence is also well car ried out.

But the play really goes into high in the quick and surprising developments involving the young man and his so-called wife at the cli max.
