New Nursery Units Open Eight new nursery centers for children from 2 to 5 opened last week, it is report-, ed by Mrs. Myra Nelson, nursery center supervisor of the Los Angeles city schools, this bringing to 72 the schools caring for the children of working mothers. John's Episcopal Ohurch. The reception was held in the Alpha Gamma Delta house on the S.C. campus. They will honeymoon at Laguna Beach and live "in San Francisco. The bride is a graduate of U.C.L.A.

and an Alpha Gamma Delta. Dr. Boody is a graduate of the University of California. Berkeley campus, and the Stanford School of Medicine. JAMES-MOODY Barbara Viola Moody, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. George E. Moody of Glen-dale, to Capt Edwin F. James, Army Air Forces, son of Mrs. McKinney of Fresno, last evening in North Glendale Methodist Church.

They will make their home in Palm Springs. The bride, a Gamma Kappa Theta, Is a graduate of Occidental College. The bridegroom attended Fresno State College and the University of California, Berkeley campus, and is a Zeta Mu. He is stationed in Palm Springs, after serving one year in Africa, England and Italy. He wears the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with nine Oak Leaf Cluster and two Presidential Citations.

HESS-JARVIS Lorraine Esther Jarvis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jarvis of Pound, to Wayne Franklin Hess, son of Mrs. Frank Hess of Beverly Hills and the late Mr. Hess, last evening in the Pacific Palisades Community Church.

He served 19 months in the South Pacific and is stationed at the Alameda Naval Air Station. CORRIN-HARTMAN Jean Hartman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest K. Hartman of Glendale, to Lt.

Philip R. Corrin, Army Air Forces, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Corrin. Miss Hartman passed candy tp Gamma Kappa Thetas at Occidental College, where she was viqe-president of the student body.

Her fiance, a former student at Occidental now overseas, is a Phi Gamma Delta. PETTT-DENNISTON Anita Denniston. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lawrence Denniston of San Gabriel, to Ensign William Henry Petit Naval Reserve, son of Mr.

and Mrs. William Henry Petit of Pasadena. Miss Denniston is a junior at Scripps College. Formerly, she attended Frances Parker School, Pasadena. Her fiance attended Miami University, Oxford, and is a graduate of U.C.L.A.

He is a Delta Kappa Epsilon. MICHAELS-COOK Harriet Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Henry Cook, to Theodore Michaels, son of Mr. and Mrs.

M. Michaels of Lorain, O. The announcement' was made ast evening at an open house" in honor of Harriet and her sister Pauline, who has enlisted in the Waves. The bride-elect will return to Oberlin College, Oberlin, for her senior yar late in October. She is a former student of Marlborough.

Both are former students at U.C.L.A. Lt, Koskoff recently returned from Pacific duty and is stationed in Norfolk, Va. The wedding will take place in New York soon.
