Howard's Fair Truckle, fc-orld record holder for six furlongs, and William Helis' Rippey cut it so close in the 'Publishers' Special Handicap at Santa Anita yesterday that the officials called for a photo of the finish. Fair Truckle got it by a head Tvith Rippey another half length In front of the fast-closing Galla Damion. But in another jump Rippey xiould have been the -winner ever Fair Truckle, and had the race been 20 yards longer the long-legged Galla Damion vould have collared them both.
