THURSDAY, NOV. 10, 1949 {Search For Hunter Is Called Off (By United Press' An all night search for a hunter believed lost in a swampy section of Guilford has been called off. It had been reported that several shots were heard and that someone shouted for help. Guilford and state police joined in a search and combed the entire area without success. The search was called off after police said they believed the hunter made his way out of the woods safely. Coast Guard Saves Two Stamford Men (By United Press) Two Stamford men are safe this morning after they were rescued from the Long- Island Sound by the Coast Guard. The cabin cruiser which Louis D.eberadins and. his brother Leo were aboard burst into flames and sank. J. Wns- kowicz. president of the group. The concert is |part of the celebration of the- silver anniversary of the founding of tho Mcndellsohn Male Chorus of Water-bury, and singing groups from New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island will take part. Two numbers will be sung by the local Men's Chorus, as part of the program. "Evening Pastorale" by Shaw, and an Negro Spiritual, "OV Gray Robe," aficr which they will join a group of several hundred to present a full evening pi-o- ffrajn. The Naugatuck Men's Chorun is holding- final rehearsals for their coming winter concert to be held at the High 'School Auditorium, December 2. Jesse F. Davis, director of the group, stated that the chorus is rounding into shaipe satisfactorily, and the concert next month should prove highly pleasing to the audience ,and probably better from a musical standpoint, than any presented by the chorus in the past few years.
