UP) Detailed plans for the San Francis---Oakland transbay bridge were approved today by the consulting board of engineers in charge of the project. The plans created by State Highway Engineer Purcell contemplate twenty-six spans from the foot of Beale street in San Francisco, to the Key Route mole on the east side. From San Francisco to Yerba Buena Island there will be two 2300-foot spans and four 1160-foot spans.
