From a city directory she compiled a list of professional men who, she believed, might have resorted to doing their own typing for purposes of economy. In personal calls, she presented her qualifications and made the following offer: She would be in each office two hours a day, six days a week, for $3 a week, or 25 cents an hour, which is a trifling sum for stenographic services even In these times. She soon had three offices lined up, 8 to 10 a.m.; 10:30 to 12:30, and 1 and 3 p.m., allowing thirty minutes to get from one office to another. PR. 2011 from the chapel of W. A. Brown, 1815 WASHINGTON, March 8. (AV-The preparation of a new farm aid plan to be enacted soon after the special session of Congress disposes of emergency financial legislation is commanding the close attention of President Roosevelt's agricultural advisers.

Leaders of farm organizations were asked today by Secretary Wallace, who is anxious to make the new plan effective for this year's crop, to attend a conference Friday. Planting begins next Wednesday in many sections and enactment of needed legislation as soon, as possible has been set as the goal. RENTING INVOLVED Wallace was reluctant to discuss the framework of the new plan other than to admit that it "is to provide for an orderly retreat from production of lands now devoted to cotton, wheat and corn." He said it will be a "modification of the allotment plan and will involve renting of lands devoted to surplus production." It was learned details of the plan have been worked out by Wallace and Dr. Rexford Tugwell, the new assistant Secretary of Agriculture, and that President Roosevelt has approved the principle of the measure. From the allotment scheme the new proposal will take the plan for Lueua KTuegel, 39.
