Wilhelm Ferdinand, von Brincken, son of Baron George "Wilhelm von Brincken, a German nobleman, will not be able to carry out his reported intention to marry Miss Milo Aber-cromble, daughter of Mrs. George A.

McGowan, early next summer, became apparent today when it was learned that he had been divorced by his wife only a few days ago. The records show that Mrs. Alice Louise von Brincken was granted an interlocutory decree by Superior Judge Cabaniss on Friday, October 16. By the laws of California the final decree cannot be entered until a year after the Interlocutory is granted. The divorce proceedings of the Von Brlnokens were conducted with the greatest secrecy.

None of the Judges regularly assigned to civil actions heard the case, but Judge Cabaniss, who presides over a criminal department of the Superior Court, was called In. The lieutenant, when questioned the night before his engagement to Miss Abercrombie was announced, stated he had been divorced from Mrs. Von Brincken, who was the former Alice Roedel, daughter of a San Mateo banker, "a long time ago." There seemed to be no legal Impediments to the consummation of hia new marital promise. Von Brincken began suit for a divorce on the ground of desertion. Mrs.

Von Brincken retaliated that she had not deserted her spouse but that on the other hand he had left her December 15, 1912. Judge Cabaniss granted the decree to the wife and made an -order commanding Von Brincken to pay $25 monthly for the support of his son, Hans Frederich Wilhelm von Brincken, who was born August 24, 1913.
