March Misses Ellen, Maria and Mary Schenck, daughters of Joseph Schenk, a wealthy citizen of Sanhorn, ten miles west of here, on the Central road, became violently insane last Saturday. The young ladles arc highly educated and accomplished, and are well known social circles of Lockport. The girls are eighteen, twenty and twenty-seven years old respectively. They have devoted themselves to music and painting, and It is said that their father feared they would break down, and that ho frequently rebuked them for not taking more exercise and relaxation. While not robust, they have never been sickly.

On Saturday morning they devoted themselves to their usual work, and Kllen, the youngest, was beard to remark that she alir.ost despaired of ever attaining the goal of lim- ambition and that she had a mind to give up.
