Excessive rains and the warm, wet winter have created ideal breeding conditions for ticks, which could lead to significant increases in tick and flea borne diseases such as Lyme disease. Lyme disease was first recognized in the United States in 1975, after a mysterious outbreak of arthritis near Lyme, Connecticut. Since then, reports of Lyme disease have increased dramatically, and the disease has become an important public health problem in some areas of the United States. The early stage of Lyme disease is usually marked by fatigue, chills, fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, swollen lymph nodes. A characteristic skin rash a red circular patch usually appears in 3 days to 1 month at the site of the bite.

If not properly treated with antibiotics, Lyme disease can result in arthritis, nervous system abnormalities, or irregularities of the heart rhythm. The Professional Compounders of Owensboro LINCOLN PHARMACY, INC. Robert Hoskins, R.Ph. prn prescription Marylou Hoskins, R.Ph. Marylou Hoskins, R.Ph.
