BUMBLEBERRY (this is the 14th unit in a nationwide chain) has invested a third of a million dollars in re-doing the building and it certainly shows. Now one big room, with seating.for 140, it fea- tures a colorful interior, great 'cutely Hwhat' a costumed Magmre is the local manager and a staff of 50 people have, been hired. There's quite a story about the "mysterious burnbleter- ry." We don't have space to print it here but you can read it on your place mat when you go into Fremont's new BUMBLEBERRY RESTAURANT to eat.

Other restaurants have had their problems in this location, but since BUMBLEBERRY has a record of successful operation dsewhere, and they have capable personnel and financial resources, we look for them to be very successful. Remember "The Modern- aires," a singing group which worked with Glenn Miller, Fred Waring, Paul Whiteman, Charlie Bamctt and other big bands of the 40's and 50's? Well, they're still singing great songs. And, they'll be starred with Paula Kelly, female vocalist of the at SUNOL GOLF CLUB six nights next week, Tuesday through Sunday. Two shows a night: one at 9 p.m. and the other at 11 p.m.

In addition, Dave Booth and his band will be on hand to play for dancing (Tim Sheltraw will sing with the dance group) and Dick Kerr, the talented comedian singer from Woodland Hills, will also appear on the program. It's going to be a greafshow and great dancing. So, better make your reservations now! SUNOL GOLF CLUB entertainment card holders get a 50 per cent discount and can bring guests. And don't forget that Richard King, the barrister" from; Sari Leandro who has scored hits nationally in musicals and stage shows, will be (Friday) at Sunol'Gplf Club. He has a host of fans who will probably pack'the Pavilion room.

Tomorrow night, Dave Booth and his 13-piece dance band, will play for dancing in the Coronado Room. Break down and take the "little woman" out for a little fun Saturday night! in the the golf course, is full of ideas. His latest: if you are going to watch the city fireworks display Wednesday night (July 4th, naturally) on Lake Elizabeth near the city hall well, BARNABY'S have a big parking lot and it makes' a good spot to watch the fireworks in comfort. Of course, if you happened to want to order a pizza, or hamburger, or something he- fore or after the show, Jon wouldn't be adverse to taking care of you (Provided he isri't out there watching the fireworks, too) And, GINA'S PIZZA, on Stevenson Blvd. in the Sundale Shopping Center, is having the'longest "happy hour" we have ever heard of. Lasts three full days from noon Tuesday, July 3 -thru July 5 (midnight).

During that "nappy hour" you can'get a regular $1.75 pitcher of beer for $1.00. And, if you buy a larze pizza, you get a free pitcher of coke for the kiddies. How about that? RANDOM REMARKS (as space will allow) Gene Gatti, new owner of THK GATT1 RANCH on Prralla reports good business and a fine response on his ad for banquets and parties. Of course, he can always use more. If you have a banquet, party, or similar event coming up, give Gene a call at 79M016 Those really hot days and nights might not make everybody' happy; but we noticed a great smile on Al Sanchez's-face.
