She was a member of Congress Avenue Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Creedmoor Chapter. Survivors include her husband, William A. (Bill) Stamnitz of Austin; one daughter.

Billie Davis, Fort Worth; brother, Jim Hardcastle of Austin; one grandson, Randy Davis, Fort Worth. Funeral services are 3:30 PM Saturday at Wilke-Amey-Clay Funeral Home, Chapel of the Bells, with Reverend Robert L. Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow in Capital Memorial Park. Chandy, an expert on performance analysis of computing systems and distributed succeeds Alfred Dale.

Dale, who has been department chairman since June 1979. is resigning to de-, vote more time to teaching. Chandy is the co-author of "Current Trends in: Church, with Reverend Warren Muller officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 PM, Sunday, in the Bellevue Cemetery in Cheapside, Texas. Mr.

Mrs. Johnson, daughter of Dr. John Walter Michaels, was born April 14, 1897 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Michaels, who was deaf, was the first missionary to the deaf of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Galladett College for the Deaf in Washington, D.C. She then taught at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf and from 1920 to 1927 she taught at the Texas School for the Deaf. After her sons entered high school she worked for Internal Revenue Service as an auditor until retirement. Because of her love for the deaf, Mrs.

Johnson continued to teach and guide them. She held memberships in Austin Booktrailers Club, National Association of the Deaf, Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Mrs. Johnson was intru-mental in the organization of the Texas Baptist Deaf Conference and the Southern Baptist Deaf Conference. She also organized the first deaf Sunday School classes at First Baptist Church in Dallas and in the deaf department at Congress Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member for more than 60 David Ischy David Ischy, 23, of Austin died Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday in the Allandale Baptist Church, with Dr. Harold O'Chester officiating. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Georgetown. He was husband of Charlotte Ischy of Austin; son of Olga Daniel of Austin; brother of LaDonna Ischy of Austin. Pallbearers for the service include: Kevin Myers, Joe Brock, Rod Arnold, Ted Miears, Jeff Haynes, Fred Johnson, Lawrence Handcox, and Terry Sam-plaski.

Estes claims rights violated in suit against government ABILENE (AP) Billie Sol Estes has filed a $52 million lawsuit against federal officials, claiming the government has violated his rights by prolonging his prison stay. Estes, 58, mailed the lawsuit to an Abilene federal court from the Big Spring federal prison camp, where he Is serving two consecutive five-year prison terms for 1979 convictions on tax and mail fraud charges. The suit was filed Thursday. In the suit, Estes said John Allman, superintendent of the Big Spring facility, requested June 3 a 60- to 90-day halfway house stay for Estes, but federal officials approved only 30 days.
