One who might have a shot at becoming a rock heavy Is drummer Joe Vitale of Joe Walsh's Barnstorm. Joe is known for his writing and talented drumming but as Vitale tours the nation more people are finding out he is not toobadofavocalisteither. Vitale has an alburn out on Atlantic "Roller Coaster featuring some fine material with all tunes written by Joe.

He received some help on his first solo disc from his ex-band mat Walsh and Rick Derringer. Joe also played keyboard and bass on the IP- "It took over two years of writing to get the material for my album and since I did almost everything myself it took me about five weeks to record it. Mickey Newfaury is one of the influential songwriters. the past decade and has not received the recognition he deserves. He's one of the most talented acoustic acts of today. At the Boarding House he presented'a combination of sad ballads that overwhelmed the sellout crowd. It Is alnays amazing to hear one man and his guitar have a room completely en- "thralled.

Mickey, one of the great storytellers, left the packed house breathless while doing a combination of old songs like "Frisco Mable Joy" and tunes- from his brand new IP "Lovers."
