Capitol City wants to open a branch in the Richardson Square Shopping Center, while Lamar wants to open in the Prestonwood Shopping Center. The Lamar request will be consid an ered at Department hearing next week, while the Capitol City application will be considered Dec. 3. Meanwhile, it will be several days before Alvis Vandygriff, commissioner of the Department, rules on the request from Gibraltar Savings Association of Houston to open a branch office in Austin at the intersection of Great Hills Trail and U.S.

The bill now goes to conference where House conferees have promised a stiff fight to eliminate the phase-out provisions.
