Final'' event on the district's summer schedule, the dance will be fashioned especially for the upper elementary gTade youngsters, including those preparing to enter high schooL A bus will leave the Auburn Union Elementary School at 1:30 p. m. August 25 for the Lincoln pool, and will return to the school at 6 p. m. Fifty cents will provide transportation, pool admission and plenty of watermelon.

Dean Eslick is chairman of the committee. Each youngster is asked to bring his admission fee to the recreation office in the Placer County Bank Building to reserve a seat on the bus. The dance will be held from 7:30 to 10:30 on the 30th. Refreshments will be served for 15 cents. The committee in charge is composed of Junior Council members, including Gary Cogley, president; Ken Geil, vice president; Linda Jansen, secretary, and Margaret Rorich, treasurer.

The council invites all seventh and eighth graders and next year's high school freshmen to attend. Last night, a dance sponsored by the council, was held at the Auburn elementary school. Supervising the preparation of activities is Mrs. Elaine Nelson, assistant director of recreation. Mrs.

Nelson is currently in charge of the office, as W. R. Fra-zer, superintendent of recreation, i vacationing in Chicago for one month. He expects to return about September 12. Placer 4-H Members Enter Fair Competition Members of the Placer County 4-H Clubs have entered 35 head of livestock in the junior division show at the California State Fair in Sacramento, August 31 through September 10.
