It was then that his parents embarked on an ambitious plan to renovate a 750-year-old family castle In Scotland. A realty broker tied in a computerized loan-application system, for instance, could receive a 'a point (one-half of 1 percent) of the mortgage amount for helping his or her homebuyer clients qualify and apply for a new mortgage.
