The program will be made up of plays and musical numbers. The Freeman group is under the direction of Mrs. Gene Shipman, P. T. president.

Receipts from the program and social were $82.45. The proceeds will be used to further 4-H 15. DUV Tent 45 Gives Patriotic Program Clear Lake Daughters of Union Veterans met Monday evening at the Legion hall with Mrs. Ralph Ott in charge of the program. She read an article on President Grant whose birthday is observed this month.

The D. U. V. are also observing Appomattox Day and Grand Army day. Mrs.

Marjorie Brooks told how the song "God Bless America" originated. Mrs. A. R. Cain gave a reading entitled "This Glorious Thing." Reports were given on the rummage sale held Saturday.

A pot luck lunch was served. The next meeting will be April 19. The refreshment committee will be Mmes. Myrtle Alder, Lona Brose and Kenneth Cobb. Mrs.

Waffles. In "Starring Dinah" the characters were Mr. Thomas, Bruce Evans; Mrs. Thomas, Lois Bates; Linda Thomas, Dorothy Earles; John Thomas, Billy Bart-lett; Davie Thomas, Sonny Shields; Kathryn, Sue Ann Nelson; Mrs. Simmons, Marilyn Nelson; Mrs.

Wilson, Ruth Fuller; Katy, Mary Jo Conn; Dinah, Donna Shields, and Mr. Parks, Gene Evans. The play was written by Mrs. Carstens. Marilyn Nelson accompanied all numbers.

Boxes and a large cake were auctioned off by J. B. Lane and Son, Colonel Lane, of the Lane auction school, Mason City. Donna Shields won the popularity contest among the 4-H girls. The D-X Oil company donated a gallon of motor oil to be sold to the highest bidder.

The girls sold candy all evening and lunch was served. The program opened with community singing of "My Wild Irish Rose" and "Let Me Call You Sweetheart." Mrs. Carstens led. The 4-H girls "sang, Gene Evans gave an instrumental solo and Margaret Zerbel gave a reading on "4-H Symbols." Betty Fjone, Mary Jo Conn, Phyllis Miller and Ruth Bartlett gave the 4-H pledge in verse, Phyllis Miller gave the poem, "The Faithful Few," the club sang "I'm Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover" and Marilyn Nelson presented some instrumental music. A short skit, "All in a Day," by 4-H young people followed and Betty Clark, county 4-H president, talked on "The Meaning of 4-H." Mr.
