Meeting Amuno Sisterhood, who served as the first president. It serves as the liaison between National Women's League and its constituent sisterhood members. Its purpose is to unite the sisterhoods of its area and render them the assistance needed to fulfill their goals. The primary purpose of the Branch is to install the religious ideals of Judaism and in the homes and everyday living of its members. National Women's League of the United Synagogue of America is the parent body of the sisterhoods affiliated with the Conservative Synagogues in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

It is the women's arm of the United Synagogue working under the auspices of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America to preserve tradition-' al Judaism.
