Her white faille gown had a sweetheart neckline, the flounced bottom draped into a bustle at the back She wore a white Mary Queen of Scots hat, and carried a white satin muff with red roses arranged in heart shape, like the bridesmaids' They were Miss Sally Rosinsky of Los Angeles, Miss Barbara Robinson of Des Moines and Hiss Beverly Redman of Burlington Their white faille gowns had high necklines and wide crushed bands at the hipline, extending i floor length sashes in back. The brides dress of ivory satin had a fitted bodice topped by a pointed collar of imported Swiss lace, the lace used in a point covering the back of her hand. A pleated peplum at the hips gathered into a bustle above a three- yard train. Her veil fell from a headband of pearls The bride carried a crescent shaped bouquet of gardenias centered with a white orchid The gown was borrowed from a cousin of the bride, Mrs Phil Sokolof. Edward Sellz of Los Angeles was best man for his brother Ushers were Howard Sellz of Los Angeles, Yale Gotsdmer, brother of the bride, Harold Gosdmer and Robert Press, both of Des Moines.

At the dinner following the service, tables were centered with white candles and pom pons The bride's table had silver eucalyptus leaves in chrysanthemum piece, and plumosa festooned at the front Gardenias circled the wedding cake, which Mrs Sam Hoffman cut. Supper Follows Sunday Cantata After the Christmas cantata at Dodge Memorial Congregational church Sunday evening, two friends were hostesses at a Christmas party Miss Leitha Rau and Miss Jackie Dettman entertained a group of Thomas Jefferson high schoolmates at a supper at the Rau home. The group exchanged Christmas gifts and spent the evening singing carols, accompanied by Miss Gloria Hummel The gifts in the Christmas wrappings were arranged on the buffet From each one a red or green ribbon extended into a giant bow above the buffet mirror Each guest chose a ribbon from the bow and followed it to a gift.
