Buffet luncheon on another day was in the elegant and more expensive Top 0' the Strip dining room of the Dunes hotel It's a 13th floor dining room with much royal blue in interior design and offers one hotel, where we particularly enjoyed fresh fruits, sweet rolls, and eggs Florentine. Equally pleasant wss the attractive Brazilian room of the Tropicana. All baking is done at the hotel, we learned from the gifted chef, Harry Ramacciotti. "And we never, never use a pre pared mix!" he added with con siderable pride.

Tab for the brunch, no mat ter how many visits to the buf fet tables, is a modest $195 between 9 a. m. and 2:30 p. unteered, not having the least idea that researching dining spots was first on my agenda. "I don't think it's publicized very much.

Following our arrival here the evening before, we had dined elegantly and well in the Gourmet Room of the Tropicana, then caught the midnight performance of "The LidoH at the Stardust. So there was the luxury of sleeping late and turning breakfast into noon brunch. And what a brunch! We walked the short distance from the Tropicana, where we bad taken a room, to the Hacienda and discovered we were among the few who ever walk anywhere in Las Vegas except on the golf course especially during the heat of the day.

The Hacienda's glass-walled dining room overlooks the hotel's large and irregularly-shaped swimming pool, in a landscaped courtyard bright with a multitude of flowering plants oleander, marigold, petunias. The buffet made our taste-buds really sit up and take notice. We made three trips to the bountifully laden tables. A more elaborate buffet dinner is served from 6 p. ra.
