Wednesday I I I W. V. When Winifred Boynton that what she wanted more than anything else in the world was to build a beautiful and dignified little chapel on the grounds of her home in Door County, she was faced with two serious obstacles. First, her family was ice- cold on the project; second, she had no idea how to go about it. Women like Mrs.

Boynton have no trouble winning over their families-- particplarly to worthwhile causes. But even those with as much innate talent as she has might find themselves quailing before the prospect of designing and building and painting and decorating and wood-carving as intricate a piece of architecture as the Norwegian Chapel she finally decided complete. And even when the chapel was finished, Mrs. Boyn- on's difficulties weren't over. Reinhold.

a 7 ni. Thursday: Sunbeams Pastors Child Average Is Up (Herald Tribune' Service) WASHINGTON Congregational ministers in the United States now are averaging twice as many children by the time they reach age 30 than did their predecessors, ac- cordfhg to a nationwide survey. The study was conducted by Mrs. Betty U. Kibbee, of the Population Reference Bureau, a private organization here, and the Rev.

Be- Baharian, pastor of the Quincy Point Congregational Church, Quincy, Mass. Results showed the number ol children per minister at age 30 has risen 112 per cent from an average of .58 of a child per minister born in 1902-'09 to an average of 1.23 children per minister borr between 1918 and 1922. Shows Lower Ratio Studies of the birth rate among 182,000 college graduates, conducted over the last eight years, have shown a similar upswing, but with a lower child ratio than of the ministers. An average of 1.81 children per male graduate of college classes 192V28 was found 25 years after graduation. Congregational ministers, in approximately the same birth-year group and at the same 2.40 children each.

An increase in early marriages oartially accounts for the increase in both grouns, and also is part of a general birth rate increase in the United States. sked her to do pencil illustrations or the book and she had to read a wok on pencil drawing in order to comply with their request. Here is Mrs. Boynton's descrip- ion of the creation of the painting of Peter and Paul: "I was eager to paint the panels of Peter and Paul. It was Walt's idea to have these two important Apostles on the two side panels between the Nave and the Chancel.

Together they build the Church of Christ Peter with the tools of his heart, and Paul with the tools of his great intellect. The existence of our little is due to the very fact that they builded well. I our design Peter is shown holding two keys. Jesus said Peter, 'I will give thee the keys to the kingdom of heaven, a whatsoever fhou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in From this it would seem that the keys are the symbolic implements of Truth and Faith which unlock the that bind us. Paul presented no problems.

He looks in our mural the way I believe the real Paul did kind, st'ern and intelligent. In his right hand, as a militant, he holds the sword, the sword of the Spirit; and as the great teacher and writer he holds the Bible in his left hand. It has been wisely said that of all the followers of Jesus none made so great a contribution to the thinking of mankind as Paul. When I turn to greet the Paul in our Chapel and look into Ihose keen, sharp eyes, I know there is as great a heart to understand simple human frailty as there is to grasp the loftiest concepts of life. All this an'd more 1 feel when I talk with him.

There may be other Peters and other Pauls but the two I know and love are living in our Chapel." Rev. Daniel A. McGinn Daniel McGinn To Be Ordained Will Celebrate Mass Here On December 27 Thte Rev. Daniel McGii.r, 27, son of Mr. and Mrs.
