RAYMOND A. DIGGS EVA RAY'S RITES SCHEDULED TODAY Retired Teacher, 90, Died In Nursing Home Services for Miss Eva Ray, A retired elementary school teacher, will be held at 10 A.M. today at the Weber funeral establishment, 5311 Edmondson avenue. Miss Ray, who was 90, died Monday at the Hood Nursing Home, where she lived for the past year. Born i in Baltimore, she was graduated from Western High School and the old Teachers' Training School.

Teacher For 31 Years An elementary school teacher for 31 years, Miss Ray retired in 1941. She also taught Sunday school at West Baltimore Methodist Church, where she was one of the oldest members. Miss Ray was a member of the Haslup Strout Union of Baltimore City in the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Richard Staub, of Baltimore.

Laurel Chamber Director Kenneth V. Duncan has been appointed executive director of the Greater Laurel Area Chamber of Commerce, effective September 15, by its board of directors. MOORE RITES SET ON COAST Former Marylander Died In California Pacific Grove, Aug. 2 20 -Services for Thomas (Special) Moore, a retired official of the Bureau of Internal Revenue in Baltimore, will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday at the Little Chapel by the Sea in Pacific Grove.

Mr. Moore, who was 84, died Monday at the Stanford Medical Unit in Palo Alto, Calif. Born in Salisbury, he was deputy collector for the tax agency when he retired in 1951. Mr. Moore and his wife, the former Mildred Price, moved to California four years ago.

They resided in a retirement community in Carmel Valley. Besides his wife, Mr. Moore is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Moore, of Baltimore, and Dr. Rowe P.

Moore, of Salinas, a sister, Miss Louise Moore, of Washington; a brother, Edgar Moore, of San Marino, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Donald L. Collison Services for Donald Lee Collison, 18, who was killed Monday when the truck he was driving struck a tree in Gambrills, will be held at 1 P.M. tomorrow at the McCully funeral establishment, Patapsco avenue and Third street, Brooklyn. He was a June graduate of Northeast High School at High Point, Anne Arundel county and had planned to attend Anne Arundel Community College.

He was working for the Odenton firm of R.P.S. Products Company as a truck driver at the time of the accident. Survivors include his father, Edgar Collison; two sisters, Deborah and Linda Ann Collison; four brothers, Ronald, Raymond, and David Collison and Edgar Collison, all of Pasadena, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl B.

Collison, of Brooklyn Park. B'nai B'rith Luncheon The Hope Chapter of B'nai B'rith will hold a membership luncheon at noon September 7 in the home of Mrs. Irene Palter, 4201 Bedford avenue. J. E.

Goldstein's Rites Today; HeOwned Printing Firm Services for Joseph E. stein, president and co-founder of a Baltimore printing firm, will be held at noon today at the Lewis funeral establishment, (9610 Reisterstown road. Mr. Goldstein, who was 74, died Tuesday at Professional House nursing home after an illness of several weeks. Printing Company Mr.

Goldstein and his brother, the late Walter Goldstein, established the 20th Century Printing Company in 1913. Begun as a job printing shop, it expanded to print newspapers and commercial books. He was a member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, and was a member of the Scottish Rite. Mr. Goldstein was also a member of the Elks Club of Carp's Service Scheduled Today Services for Maynard Leon Carp, a salesman for a New Jersey steel company, will be held at noon today at the Levinson funeral establishment, 6010 Reisterstown road.

Mr. Carp, who was 52, died Tuesday at Greater Baltimore Medical Center after a long illness. Mr. Carp and his wife, the former Eunice Krakowitz, lived at 6805 Old Pimlico road. For the past two years, Mr.

Carp had been a salesman for Certified Steel of New Jersey. He worked for the Curtis Steel Products Company from 1953 to 1967. A native of Baltimore, Mr. Carp attended City College. He (served War with II the infantry the during and Korean War, and held the rank of captain.

Mr. Carp was a member of the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation. In addition to his wife, Mr. Carp is survived by a son, Mark B. Carp; a brother, Melvin Carp, and four sisters, Mrs.

Ruth Bernstein, Mrs. Celeste Cornblatt, Mrs. Mildred Cornblatt and Mrs. Alvin Glickman, all of Baltimore. MRS.

WILLSON RITES TODAY Practical Nurse, 61, Died After Brief Illness Rock Hal, Aug. 20 (Special)-Services for Mrs. Maurice Willson, the former Ivy Mae Hubbard, will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday in Rock Hall Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs.

Willson, who was 61, died Tuesday at the home of a daughter after a short illness. For many years, Mrs. was a practical nurse, and for two years before her illness she worked at the Kent and Queen Annes Hospital. Besides her husband, Mrs. Willson is survived by three daughters, Mrs.

Lauretta M. Clark, Mrs. Myra Durding and Mrs. Janice O. Tucker, all of Rock Hall; two sons, Thomas H.

Willson and Alonza H. Willson, both of Rock Hall; a brother, Copland Hubbard, and a sister, Mrs. Oneida Francis, both of Rock Hall; 15 grandchildren and a great -grandchild. Milton S. Gregson A requiem mass will be offered for Milton S.

Gregson, a gas fitter for the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company for over 30 years, at 9 A.M. today in Our Lady of Victory Church, 4601 Wilkens avenue. Mr. Gregson, who was 60, died Monday at his home after a heart attack. His wife, the former Marie H.

Stilling, died in 1968. Survivors include a son, Milton F. Gregson, of Arbutus: al daughter, Mrs. Alice A. Appleby, of Catonsville, and three grandchildren.

Mrs. C. F. Redmound Cambridge, Md. Aug.

20 (Special)-Services for Mrs. Charles F. Redmound, the former Harriet Willis, will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at the LeCompte funeral establishment here. Mrs.

Redmound, who was 89, died Tuesday at the House in the Pines Nursing Home, where she had lived for the past year. Her husband, who was secretary to the late Senator Henry Cabot Lodge, died in 1961. A native of Church Creek, Mrs. Redmound was a member of Christ Church in Cambridge. She has no survivors.

GOLDSTEIN Services for Mrs. Edna Gernand Hilbert, who was employed by Baltimore real estate firms for 32 years, will be held at 2 P.M. today at the Stewart and Mowen funeral establishment, 108 West North avenue. Mrs. Hilbert, who was 77, died Tuesday at the Chesapeake Manor Nursing Home.

She had lived in the Roland View Towers apartments. She was a former member the Baltimore Country Club, Gibson Island and l'Hirondelle Club. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Katharine King Berry, of Silver Spring, and three grandchildren. Rev.

Houston Scott Services for the Rev. Houston H. Scott, minister of the Church of God in Baltimore and Union Bridge, for 40 years, will be held at 11 A.M. tomorrow at the Church of God, 314 North Gilmor street. Mr.

Scott, who was 78, died Tuesday at his West Baltimore home. He had worked for Earle Kirkley Florists for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, the former Marie E. Nickerson; a son, H. H.

Scott; two daughters, Miss Arlene T. Scott and Mrs. Consuella L. Col. Raymond A. Diggs, USA (Ret.) assistant professor of military science at Morgan State College in the early 1950's and former statistical officer at Fort Meade, will be held at 10.45 A.M. today Fort Myer Chapel of Arlington National Cemetery. Colonel Dinas, who was 59 and lived at 5026 The Alameda, died Sunday at Maryland General Hospital after a brief illness.

Native Of D.C. A native of Washington, Colonel Diggs was graduated from Dunbar High School there. where he was a member of the Cadet Corps. He received his undergraduate education and a Master of Science degree in mathematics at Howard University, and was commissioned a second lieutenant of infantry in the Reserves. Colonel Diggs served in Europe during World War II with the rank of captain.

Among his decorations were the Bronze and Silver Stars. Served In Japan Returning to the United States (in 1945, Colonel Diggs directed a course of study at Fort Benning, which was designed to raise the educational level of the soldiers. From 1947 to 1949, he served in Japan, then returned to the United States and his assignHe left Morgan in holding ment at Morgan State, College. the rank of major, studied four months at Fort Benning and was then assigned to Korea. Adviser To Koreans Colonel Diggs was a regimental and statistical adviser to the Korean Army, and was awarded a medal by the Korean government.

He returned to the United States as statistical officer at Fort Meade until he retired in 1961. Colonel Diggs is survived by his wife, the former Essie Adams; two daughters, Mrs. Angela L. Randall and Miss Deborah A. Diggs, both of Baltimore; a son, William A.

Diggs, of Baltimore; three brothers, John C. Diggs, Gilbert A. Diggs, and Thomas M. Diggs, all of Washington; three sisters, Miss Margaret A. Diggs, Mrs.

Mary C. Butler and Mrs. Estelle C. Dunlap, all of Washington, and three granddaughters. A requiem mass will be ed for Casper A.

Stengel, a retired carpenter and former piano-finisher, at 9 A.M. tomorrow in St. Agnes Church, 5422 Old Frederick road. Mr. Stengel, who was 73, died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs.

Mary E. Dawson. His wife, the former Mary E. McRoy, died in 1956. A piano-finisher for over 25 years, Mr.

Stengel worked for the family owned Peabody Piano Company until World War when he left to do war work. Mrs. Dawson said her father thought it was a good idea to do his part in the nation's war effort and joined a company manufacturing airplane piston rings. After the war, Mr. Stengel worked for the Welsh Construetion Company as a carpenter until retiring in 1961.

Mr. Stengel is also survived by a second daughter, Mrs: Catherine M. Udes, of Pinehurst-on-the-Bay, and four grandchildren. 40 uskins Good Morning!
