Kahoun Thomas F. Kahoun, beloved son of the SUBURB MAN scribed the program as "an imaginative way of bringing together two groups in much need of one another." He Explains Benefits "The children with whom we will be dealing already are receiving excellent medical and psychiatric care, according to their needs. But these children require the relationship of someone in a completely nonprofessional capacity who has no other responsibility but simply to visit with them and care about them alone. "On the other side, we believe that this program not only will provide a new source of income for older persons who may need it badly, but also will serve as a richly rewarding new activity for which they are particularly suited." The group of 41 foster grandparents is being selected primarily from among recommendations made by welfare agencies and senior citizen organizations throuout the Chicago area. Clay City, Sept.

Michael Davies, 23, was at 2,500 feet when he bailed out for the second jump of his career. But his static cord, which automatically releases the parachute, got tangled in his harness and he hung for five minutes below the aircraft as it slowed to near stalling speed. Then, Mick Reeves, 35, the instructor, shimmied down the tangled lines, grabbed Davies, and cut himself and his trainee loose. Look for ihe Lain chapel nearest you. I WDM IUa Castellano Three sisters were reunited yesterday for the first time since 1943, when they were separated in Nazi-occupied Poland. It was a joyous reunion when Mrs. Anastasia Smoczynska, 46, who formerly lived in Warsaw, stepped from the train at station and was greeted by her sisters, Mrs. Zofia Szelag, 40, of 1500 Elk Grove and Mrs.

Helen Adamski, 43, of 2420 N. Washtenaw and their families. At the height of the war in 1943, the Nazi army needed women to work in Germany. It took Mrs. Szelag, who was 16 at the time, and Mrs.

Adamski, who was 19, and left Mrs. Smoczynska, who was in the hospital expecting a baby. The Nazis later killed her husband, a farmer. Mrs. Szelag came to the United States in 1959, and Mrs.

Adamski in 1951. They told of living in wartime Germany, of the way the Nazis separated them after they arrived from Poland, and of the many American bombings they survived. But they didn't forget their sister. In Poland Mrs. Smoczynska's second husband, Frank, would pray every Sunday at mass for his family to have the chance to come to the United States.

His prayers were answered when Mrs. Szelag's husband, Stefan, in Warsaw last year on a month's vacation, arranged the trip. The Smoczynskas, who plan to remain in this country, brought their three children with them. They are: Basia, 11; Tadeus, 13; and Marisha, 14, all from her present marriage. Two children from her first marriage remain in Poland.

The Smoczynskas all plan to become United States citizens. The family didn't have any trouble getting permission to leave Poland, Mrs. Smoczynska said, but added that the people are not allowed as much freedom as those in this country. The sisters planned to celebrate their reunion with a big party yesterday afternoon, "with all we can eat and drink." The Smoczynska family is staying temporarily in the Szelag home. Russell M.
