Extent of the damage in this area was not accented early, since the loss of lives in Oak Lawn and Belvidere overshadowed even the tremendous property loss in other communities. This was one of houses destroyed in the cleanup as residents of the suburb went about tasks of clearing the stricken area of storm debris.

The snow contributed to a record-breaking amount for 1967, but was quickly dissipated by sunshine.
