Milwaukee Wheeling. Edward Stewart was pronounced dead at Holy Family hospital of smoke inhalation after he apparently wandered back into the family's second floor apartment. His mother, Elizabeth, had led him out of the apartment when she smelted smoke and then went to sound the building alarm.

Firemen Find Body Edward disappeared while she was gone. Firemen found his body behind a living room couch. Charles Noe, 8 months, was thrown from the third floor window to neighbors, who used a blanket to break his fall. The fire was confined to one three-story brick apartment in the complex. The blaze apparently began in a front hallway closet in the Stewart apartment, firemen said.

The father, Kenneth Stewart, had left for work before the fire began. Damage of $350,000 Chicago firemen battled a blaze for more than six hours Sunday night and early yesterday morning in a warehouse at 2100 Fullerton av. The fire caused an estimated $350,000 damage to the Armstrong Contracting and Supply corporation warehouse, according to Chief Fire Marshal Curtis Volkamer.
