The order does not affect total consumer supplies of milk, cream and other milk products.

Dealers must still operate on the basis of not moie than 100 per cent of last June fluid milk deliveries. Cream and other milk products are being sold on a lower percentage of sales of last June. GETS SILVER STAR Col. Lyle J. Deffenbaugh. Col. Deffenbaugh Given Medal Awarded for Work in Tunisian Battle Mrs.

Frances Deffenbaugh, 82S Avenue recently received word that her son, Col. Lyle J. Deffenbaugh, has been awarded the Silver Star award for "gallantry in action in Tunisia." The citation accompanying the award which was made in Tunisia while Deffenbaugh was a major said, "His battalion was fired upon at close range by heavy machine gun fine. In the confusion which resulted the personnel of two of his companies became intermixed. Maj.

Deffenbaugh stood in full view and within close range of the enemy, shouting directions and orders to the companies. The enemy quickly picked up his position and directed heavy machine gun at him. He completely disregarded his own welfare by continuing to give the necessary orders until the companies were reformed and progressing with the attack." An Associated Press dispatch received Saturday night crediting Col. Lyle Deffenbaugh with leading the United States troops on the Mt. Porchia Slopes, with the first notice that his mother had received of his recent advance in rank to colonel.

Col. Deffenbaugh's wife resides Omaha. He is a graduate of Abiaham Lincoln high school and was in charge of the CCC camps previous to his enlistment. Overseas for 20 months, he was a reserve officer in the army before entering the service shortly after the outbreak of the war. --Soie Your Tm Cans-Obituary Herman Rodenburg.

Herman Rodenburg, 70, Route 3 in Garner township, died Wednesday night at a local hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Germany but came to Council Bluffs 57 years ago. Surviving are his widow, Bertha; three sons, John and Henry of Neola and Herman of McClelland; five daughters, Mrs. Amanda Burker and Mrs. Esther Rmk of Council Bluffs, Mrs.

Marie Heller of McClelland, Mrs. Mildred Scohemng of- Silver City and Mrs. Elsie Johnson of Lima, two brothei Carl and William Rodenburg of Council Bluffs, 13 grandchildren and four great grand- childien. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p. at Woodring's chapel, the Rev.

L. C. Hills of Grace Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill. The body is at the Woodring funeral home.

Mrs. Marie Hajward. Funeral services will be held for Mrs Maria Hayward, 90, who died Tuesday evening at the home of her son, the Ogden hotel, at the Christian church in Atlantic. Bui- lal will be the Atlantic cemetery. The Roland-Peacock-Baxter funeral home of Atlantic is in charge.

Navy Enlists Four in the Service E. S. Newlon, recruiter in charge of the local naval recruiting station, announced Thursday the enlistment of one local man in the navy SRU, one in the regular navy, and four youths in the naval reserve. George Hugh Cravens, 215 North Eighth street, has been enlisted in the SRU with the rating of boatswain mate (aailmaker) and is awaiting call to active duty. The youth enlisted in the regular navy is Gerald Edward Peterson, son of Harry Peterson, Apartment 2801 Avenue A.

Those enlisted in the naval reserve include, Richard Wayne Howlette, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pred M. Howlette, 15 Oak street; Glenn Amos Cain, son of Mr. and Mrs.

All other officers were chosen to serve another full term.

At the close of the election, plans were discussed for a party honoring the retiring railroad men, the date of which will be announced later. A. McMullen. --Save Your Tin Cans-Little Hope for Unconscious Man Physicians held out little hope for J. Canfield, Illinois Central railroad conductor for 40 years, who was found unconscious his sleeping room at about 6 a. m.

Monday in Fort Dodge. Mrs. Canfield was called from her home, 236 Benton street, Monday morning to Fort Dodge, where her husband has been unconscious since the time he was found. Luce Cancels Talk in Omaha Because of the death of her only daughter at Palo Alto earlier this week, Congresswoman Clare Booth Luce has cancelled her scheduled talk in Omaha Jan. 28. Mrs. Luce's secretary, in a telegram to Mrs. Nettie Kibbie of the woman's division of the Nebraska republican committee, said the congresswoman's tour had been called off.

B. Petrus, has been graduated from an advanced flying course at Williams Field in Arizona; has been awarded his wings, and commissioned a second lieutenant Second Lt, and Mrs. Petrus arrived here Monday to spend a five- day furlough at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs, J. B.

Petrus, 219 Frank street, and Dr. and Mrs. C. C. Bransby at 123 South Seventh street.
