Miss Doner, who will live In Arlington, attended both Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson high schools. Miss Mttdson was graduated from the Abraham Lincoln high school in 1941, and for the past four years she has been an em- ploye of an insurance company in Omaha. She Is member of the Alpha Iota chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority. At present, Miss Madsen makes her home in Chandler, Okla. Before entering tho service in 1943, Lt, Strickland was enroled at tho Alabama Polytechnic institute and was a member of the MITEC, engineering fraternity. He was commissioned an aerial navigator-observer at Monroe, and is row stationed at Mountain Home, Idaho, No date has teen set for the wedding.

An outstanding program has been planned in which Al Faber will bo guest speaker. His subject will be "Safety" and films will be shown on that subject. Officers will bo elected for next year, RUE, The Ruo Parent-Teacher association will meet Tuesday, April 10, at 3 o'clock. There will Ije an adult education class at 2:30, Tho program, will be presented by Rue school students. Refreshments wlfl bo served at the close of tho meeting.

EIGHTH STREET. The Eighth Street Parent- Teacher association will hold Its meeting at 3 o'clock Tuesday, April 10, in the school library. Mrs. 'Laura Leonard, county superintendent, will speak on "Safety." A parent education class will be held at 2 o'clpck. WASHINGTON.

"Public-Safety" will be the topic of discussion at the Washington school Parent-Teacher association when it meets on Tuesday, April 10, on the third floor of the building, Mrs, Carl Gebur will give a talk on the main subject. Special music will be furnished and group of Girl Scouts under the leadership of Mrs. Herbert Little and Mra. William Sleek will present a playlet, DODGE. The Dodge Parent-Teacher association will meet Tuesday afternoon at 3:40 at the school, The program will be centered around the topic, "Home Front Casualties," with Mrs, Ted Weimar as speaker.

A cornet trio from Abraham Lincoln high school will entertain the members. Also an election of officers will -be held, MADISON. Following a 2 o'clock executive board meeting the Madison school Parent-Teacher as- soalatlon will meet on Monday at 2:45 o'clock. There will be an election of officers and round table discussion on "Preparing Today for Janes and Johns of Tomorrow." The will be served with the teachers acting as hostesses, SECOND AVENUE. The fathers over the meeting when the Second Ave nue Parent-Teacher association observes "dad's night" at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening.

Election of officers will be held at that time. Friday evening a parent education class will meet at the home of Mrs, Edward Callahan. The topic will be "Success or Failure," HARRISON. The Harrison school P. T.

April Itcct'ptlon. The April reception of the Council Bluffs Woman's was held Friday afternoon al Hotel Chieftain. The meeting opened with the singing of the national anthem, and the Invocation by Mrs. W. Otto.

During the business meeting at which Mrs. A. W. Huber presided, decks of cards were ordered sent to veterans, and a tree was sent to Schlck General hospital at Clinton for ths grounds there as a memorial to servicemen of Council Bluffs. M. G. Michacl- son, of Billings. The bride-to-be Is a student at Peru State Teachers' college, Peru, from which she will be graduated in June, She is also a graduate of the Thomus Jefferson high school, Her fiance is a graduate of the Billings high school. He received his commission after a course at the midshipman's school at Northwestern university, Chicago, which he completed in November, 1944.

He recently left his station at Norfolk, for sea duty aboard a destroyer. No date has been set for the wedding.
