She was Annette Funicello." The reception following her wedding to Jack Gilardi was right out of Disneyland. I first met Annette when she was 12. Her mother brought her into my office with a Mouseketeer hat Her career has risen steadily.

Every teen-age girl has her records. They sell like 7 dinner or evening. Worse, I've Set yours" der controL If you are alone, this "head nofaced that I'm developing m. head for. It's about a man sitting on a park bench who can't remember who herwas. A succession of women Jean's one bring him back to the beginning of bis life.

Second generation blockbusters: Jack Jones -will be backed by Peter Duchin when he opens at the Grove in June. This will be Peter's debut here. I wish handsome John Van Dreel-man would stop playing sadistic nazi devils and tackle a Iqver role. He was great in "The Lost Battle" with Richard Basehart John was the one lost. Her "Beach Party" pictures doubled her salary. She still has a contract with Disney, but assured me she wants nine children. She's going to be busy. Four hundred came to the party. A friend brought her 3-year-old son from Athens.

The bridegroom's parents came in from Chicago. I SAT WITH DISNEY'S CREW. Harry Tytle, co-producer with Walt for 30 years, told me they met playing polo years ago at the Riviera club with Will Rogers. Bill Walsh, top comedy writer-producer, did "Mary Poppins." Bill Anderson, vice told me "Shaggy Dog" made more money in America than any other Disney except "Poppins." Bob Sherman and his brother wrote the music for "Poppins." They came into the organization after they wrote Annette's first song, hit, "Tall Paul." When I was dancing with Bob, he asked, "Whatever happened to those old songs like 'Cheek to 'Cuddle Up a Little and 'Hold Me'?" I said: "You know what happened dancers don't touch each other any more. Why jdon't you do a satire on them?" ELIZABETH ASHLEY won't be flying off to get a Mexican divorce.

"I'm going to file right here in California," she told me. "I understand those south of the border divorces are a little tricky. I want this marriage to George Peppard to last, and this way will make both of us happier." Both she and George have picture commitments after "Third Day" at Warner's. Hers is "Voice in the Wind" with Sidney Poi-tier. Vera Miles, once under contract to Alfred Hitchcock, returns to the master to play a silent film star in one of the stories since "Psycho." She had to cancel her trip to Atlanta for the premiere of "The Calloways." Society Sets Model Ship Exhibit in Library Corridor Members of the Nautical Re- search and Model Ship society have put together an exhibit of models of many different kinds of marine craft which is on dis- play in the exhibit corridor of the Chicago public library thru January. The society which was originally formed in 1928 is made up of men who crewed the old windjammers, yachts- men, historians and model makers, both amateur and pro- fessional. Among the models on display is a "Bluenose" schooner, a type of fishing and racing boat which was popular in Canada AMUSEMENTS I MAT. TODAY 2 P.M. -IIGHTLY "FULL OF DELIGHTS" DfTfMER.
