ft D. rti ME) 'if mM or film objectionable? In the Constitution of the United States, our forefathers delegated to Congress the power to pass any law necessary to the well-being of the country. This is where the censor gets his power. Censorship is necessary for the well-being of the citizenry. To avoid a deluge of licentious publications or movies strict rulings pertaining to the morality of these media are required.

It is unlawful to take the life of a fellow man; is it not wrong to destroy the minds of others with obscene ideas and opinions? mtinaiBE2Kio) In regard to civil law, society does not permit the individual to set his own standards of right and wrong. In accordance, why should we have the right to corrupt ourselves if it is possible that society may prevent this corruption? 'SELF' CAN GIVE ESSAY THEMES FOR WRITERS BY GENEVIEVE FLAVIN High school writers seeking a theme for the Voice of Youth articles might follow the advice of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, American poet: "Look into thine own heart and write." Self -scrutiny is almost a magic key to limitless subject matter. The searcher will find that his thoughts are not confined to his personal self but to the community, the world in which he moves; his hopes, fears, joys, disappointments all are linked to others. He may be surprised to learn that he is neglecting to play his part in civic advancement, in charitable projects, in the life and hopes of family, friends, Make Use of Opinions He may have definite opin ions to relate on social problems such as budgeting allowances, car pools, parental authority in matters of dating and going steady, and use of the family car. His dreams and hopes could encompass those of his genera tion for service to mankind, changing of certain laws, and meeting given issues.

Or, rare and cherished gift of the ex pressionist, he may wish to share his joy in living, or amusement with situations, and offer humorous commentary. The Tribune pays $5 for each Voice of Youth article pub lished. Poetry is not accepted. Submitting material to the column is a simple process. All the required information is con tained on the Voice of Youth entry blank printed in today's Neighborhood News section.

Teacher Most Sign Last lines of the coupon are reserved for the signature of a faculty member from the contributor's school. This repre sents an indorsement neither of the column nor of the ideas expressed, but shows that the writer has received benefit of advice on what is appropriate. Articles, together with Voice of Youth entry blank informa tion and a picture of the writer, if he has one, should be sent to Voice of Youth, Neighborhood News, Chicago Tribune, Chi cago, HL, 60611.
