m. today in the chapel at 523 Lake Oak Park. Mr. Packard died Thursday in his home. He had retired in 1946 after 26 years as general counsel and tax attorney for Standard Oil company Indiana and had been executive director of the Western Tax council, 38 S.

Dearborn since 1948. Surviving are his widow, Bu-lah two daughters, Mrs. Beryl Bordzillowski and Mrs. Clare Wells; a brother, five grandchildren, znd two Louis Pollack Louis Pollack, 94, of 444 St. James died yesterday in MacNeil hospital in Berwyn.

Mr. Pollack lived in Chicago since 1885. He retired when he. was 91 as a clerk in the houiehold furnishing department in Leader Department Uje at 1700 W. 18th and hk was the last surviving charter member of Temple B'nai Jehoshua, 1920 S.

Ashland av. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Stella Vehon, Mrs. Flora Kobey, Mrs. Lillian Goldberg, and Mrs.

Tillie Sachs; two sons, Edwin, and Clarence; 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Monday in the chapel at 5206 Broadway. Therese Reilly, and Sister Celeste Mary; and nine grandchildren. H. A BRUNDAGE, LAWYER HERE, IS DEAD AT 68 Stricken by Heart Attack Howard A. Brundage, 68, an attorney in Chicago since 1914, suffered a fatal heart attack yesterday in his Tirrt- of Sheridan rd. Mr.

Brundage, a partner in the law firm of Brundage and Short, 111 W. Washington was a Brundage veteran of both world wars, and was awarded the legion of merit for service as a colonel in World War II. Helped in War Trials He was chief of the army judge advocate's section which questioned top nazi war criminals in advance of the Nuernberg trials which followed World War II. He was an infantry lieutenant in World War I. Mr.

Brundage was a founder and first president of the Judge Advocate association, organized shortly after World War I as a division of the American Bar association. He was a graduate of Loyola university law school. Long a golf enthusiast, he formerly was president of the Butterfield Country club and was a former director of the Chicago District Golf association. Services Monday Surviving are his widow, Eilleen; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Beth Gannon, Mrs.

Mar-jorie Bulkeley, and Mrs. Barbara Dufresne; three sons, Howard John and William and 24 grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a. m. Monday in St.

Ita's church, 1220 Catalpa av. FUNERALRITES MONDAY FOR PETER DEMET Services for Peter G. De-met, 68, who once owned 30 cafeterias in Chicago, will be held at 1 p. m. Monday in the St.

Dimitrias Greek Orthodox church, 2727 Winona st. He died Thursday in his home at 2757 Pine Grove av. Mr. Demet came here from Sparta, Greece, in 1900. By the time he was 16 he owned four restaurants.

He started the penny system cafeteria in Chicago. He had recently opened a vitamin and health food store at 839-41 Irving Park av. A son, Homer, operates the Demet restaurant, Clark street and Wrightwood avenue. Aiso surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Andrews; two other sons, George and Peter three grand children, a brother, and a sister.
