Coogan in Military Role Jackie Coogan will appear in a guise new to many of his followers at the Starland Theater Monday, December 26th, in the historical romance "The Bugle Call." With short hair and a uniform Jackie is appearing as' a bugle boy in a cavalry post. THEATER RECEIPTS GIVEN TO THE SALVATION ARMY Manager Toccini of the Royal Theater gave the receipts at his playhouse here both Saturday and Sunday evenings to the Salvation Army Christmas fund. The box office at the theater was kept closed and a Salvation Army representative was stationed at the door with the familiar kettle, to acecpt whatever those seeing the show cared to give. Every sack is' labeled with a name and each tot will know it was filled especially for them. As there are 300 or more tots in this community old Santa will sure be a busy old fellow tonight. Mrs. L. Tallman gave her Group of Camp Fire girls a party at her home Monday afternoon.

They busily passed the afternoon stringing pop corn for the community to be held this evening. On Thursday afternoon the girls met again to fill bags of nuts and candy for the same occasion. A costume party is being planned by residents here to take place at Graton community hall on New Year's eve, when the people of the community will gather to watch the old year out and the New Year in. They will come in costume and will bring eats, and a jolly time is looked forward to. A good crowd attended the card party at the hall Saturday evening, when 21 tables of players enjoyed the game of five hundred.

J. Brush and Merton "Woods. The door prize fell to Frank Miller of Sebastopol. The next party will be held in January, the date to be announced later. Miss Louise Mason is home from Teachers' College at Areata for the holidays.

Mr. Porter is able to be around again after a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. Hedrick arrived last week after spending the summer and fall in southern California.

A radio was installed in the Graton pool room this week. Sonoma county members of the Daughters of the American Revolution propose to start a county museum, and in explanation of this the secretary, Martha J. Granger, has written the following: Editor Times: "The Santa Rosa Chapter, Daugh-, ters of the American Revolution has proposed a Museum, primarily for the collection and preservation of the relics of early days in California, especially in Sonoma county, as well as interesting and historical objects from other places, both domestic and foreign. So the Sonoma County Museum Society has been formed to start and maintain a Museum. It is proposed to have it in Santa Rosa, because it is the county seat, and if so located it will represent all the people of the county.

Kleinschmidt went to Alaska and spent an entire year in the north to film "The Life of Santa Claus." Herds of thousands of reindeer were used, castles of ice and snow built for him and his pal, Jack Frost. His visits to his nearest neighbors, the Eskimos, were genuine and he was driving actual reindeer on his errands. This famous picture, which is three reels, will be shown at the Starland theater -next Monday. December 26th. The program will also include Jackie Coogan in "The Bugle Call" and a comedy.
