Patricia Emily (Lambert) Maher, wife of James F. Maher, of West Hartford, a most devoted wife and loving mother, departed this life on Tuesday (Aug. 15, 1989) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford. Born in New Haven, she moved to the Bronx, N.Y., and returned to West Hartford, where she lived for the past 25 years.

She was the manager of TV Services at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center for the Women's Auxiliary. Besides her husband, she Is survived by a son, Stephen John Taranto of Hartford; four daughters, Rosemary S. Seeger of Northford, Patricia Ann Candels of Simsbury, Diane Marie Minney of Wethersfield, and Donna Jean Pearson of Atlanta, a brother, Richard Lambert, of Scarsdale, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren. Marine Reserve brigadier general and a veteran of the Guadalcanal campaign in World War II, has died after a battle with cancer, a doctor said Wednesday. He was 81. Fuller, a resident of Spetsai for the past 10 years, died late Tuesday at the Greek island's health center, Dr. Christos Ressos said. Fuller had recently traveled to the United States, where he underwent DEATH NOTICES MARTINEZ.

Ricardo "Ricky" Martinez 15, died Wednesday (Aug. 16) at a local hospital. Born in Redding, he resided In Hartford for most of his life. He leaves his beloved father, Ricardo Martinez Sr. of Windsor; and his beloved mother.

Carmen Delgado of Hartford; a stepfather, Jerry of Hartford; three brothers, Jeffrey, Richard, and Edgar, all of Hartford; and four sisters, Carmen, Li-sette, Susan, and Sandra, all of Hartford. Funeral service will be Friday, 8:15 a.m., at the DeLeon Funeral Home, 104 Main Hartford, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 9 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home today, 5-9 p.m.

ORFITELLI. Richard J. Orfitelli, 44, of 337 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, and Old Lyme, beloved husband of Carmela (lannucci) Orfitelli, died Wednesday (Aug. 16) at the Veteran's Adminstration Hospital, Newington. Born in Hartford, he lived in Wethersfield and Old Lyme for most of his life.

Son of Filomena (Riccardi) Orfitelli of Wethersfield and the late Ernesto Orfitelli, he was a graduate of Wethersfield High School, and a graduate of Sacred Heart College, Bridgeport. He was formerly a high school teacher majoring in English, and was also formerly employed by Aetna Casualty and Life Insurance Co. He had also formerly owned and operated the Old Colony Movie Theater, Old Lyme. More recently he was employed by Ernie's Market, Albany Avenue, Hartford. He was a U.S.

Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Antonio Richard Orfitelli, and Michael Ernest Orfitelli, both of Wethersfield; a sister, Ernestine Starkowski of Wethersfield; two brothers, Gerald J. Orfitelli of Wethersfield, and Robert L. Orfitelli of Newington; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The funeral service will be Friday, 9 a.m., at the D'Esopo Wethersfield Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Wethersfield, with a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, Wethersfield.

Burial: Village Cemetery, Wethersfield, with full military honors. PACELIA. Maryann (Murray) Pacelia, 66, of Rocky Hill, widow of Nicholas W.

Pacelia, died Tuesday (Aug. 15) at home. She was born in Hartford, and lived in Rocky Hill for 38 years. She was the daughter of Elsie (Toscano) Murray of Rocky Hill, and the late James J. Murray.

She was a former secretary for the Rocky Hill Police Department for 13 years, and was later with the Elderly Housing Authority, Rocky Hill. She was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy, West Hartford, class of 1942. She was involved with the Democratic Women's Club, and was a former secretary at the State Legislature. She was a member of St.

James Church, Rocky Hill, and its Women's Club. Besides her mother, she leaves a son, Councilman William J. Pacelia of Rocky Hill; two daughters, Suzanne Dailey of Rocky Hill, and Janet Pacelia of Hartford; four grandchildren, Kara and Michael Pacelia, Peter and Kylene Dailey, all of Rocky Hill; and many close relatives. Funeral will be Friday, 9 a.m., from the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm Rocky Hill, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 9:30 a.m., in St. James Church, Rocky Hill.

Burial: Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are today, 6-9 p.m. sos said. It was not clear what type of cancer he had. Fuller was born in 1908 and was a graduate of Harvard University.

When he returned to duty, Fuller was assigned to the Office of Strategic Services, the forerunner to the CIA. His wife, a Greek, died in 1981. DEATH NOTICES MOSKAL. Nikolai Moskal, 79, of Hartford, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, died Tuesday (Aug.

15, 1989) at Hartford Hospital. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He had been a resident of Lynwood Group Home, Wolcott, for the past year. He was the son of the late Dr. Elmer and Flora (Donlan) Swan-son of New Britain, West Hartford, and Lakeville. He is survived by his sisters, Sandra Swanson Stillo of Suffield, Christine Swanson of Middletown; a brother, Attorney John Charles Swanson of Burlington, five nephews, Romie Goulart, Gregory Goulart, Stephen Goulart, Ronald Swanson, and Erik Swanson; two nieces, Ju-liann and Sara Stillo; and a grand-nephew, Josh Michael Goulart.

Calling hours will be Friday (Aug. 18), 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., at Bergin Funeral Home, Waterbury. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Lakeville, Saturday (Aug. 19) at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association. WHITE. Marjorie (West) White, 65, of 449 Naubuc Glastonbury, wife of Robert H. White, died Tuesday (Aug. 15) at Hartford Hospital.

Born in Rocky Hill, she had lived in Glastonbury for most of her life. She had worked In the Accounting Department for the Travelers Insurance Co. for 30 years, prior to her retirement five years ago. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventlst Church, RockviUe, and a member of the Travelers Girl's Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Morris T.

and Marjorie (Barber) West of East Hartford; a son, William F. White of Manchester; two daughters, Marjorie F. White, and Jeanne M. (White) LaPorte, both of Glastonbury; two brothers, Robert West of Colchester, and Richard West of Carmichael, and several grandchildren. Hill, 74, of 8 Phoebe Court, Keene, N.H., died at the Cheshire Medical Center, Keene, N.H. on Wednesday (Aug. 16, 1989) after a period of falling health. She was born in Peterborough, N.H. on Sept.

9, 1917, the daughter of Lauren and Margaret (Dodd) Murray. Mrs. Hill had been a long time resident of Bloomfield, and had been a resident of Keene, N.H. for the past three years. She had been employed as a production coordinator and supervisor for Kraft Foods in Conn, for 32 years.

She was a member of the Colum-bietts in Bloomfield, and was a communicant of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Keene, N.H. She is survived by her husband, Warren H. Hill of Keene, N.H.; a sister, Margaret Stone of Marlborough, N.H.; a sister-in-law, Lucille Hazard of Keene, N.H.; and three nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St.

arrangements. HUSTON. Richard L. "Sam" Huston, 85, of 366 Brimfield Road, Wethersfield, died Tuesday at the Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Edith (Anderson) Huston.

He was born in Portland, Maine, Jan. 27, 1904, a son of the late George F. and Anna (Tonneson) Huston, and had lived in Wethersfield for the past 36 years. He was employed at the Hartford Hospital as a paymaster for many years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the South Congregational Church, Hartford, Franklin Lodge No.

56 A A York Rites, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Sphinx Temple AANOMS, Newing-ton, member of the directors staff of Sphinx Temple, past president of the Oasis Club, active in the Republican Party in Wethersfield. and was an advocate for the handicapped in Wethersfield. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Valerie Jabs of New Britain; two brothers, Victor Huston of Bristol, and George Huston of Auburn, Maine; three sisters, Frances Mainesof Portland, Maine, Marie Gedeon of Westbrook, Maine, and Leona Bivens in Florida; and several nieces and nephews. 16 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Poland, she had resided in East Hartford for the past 25 years, formerly of Hartford. She was a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union, and a past communicant of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church, Hartford. Male, 66, of 280 Chestnut Hill Road, Colchester, died Wednesday (Aug. 16) at his residence. He was born on July 2, 1923 in Schenectady, N.Y., the son of the late Walter T. and Virtue (Bambury) Male. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S.

Army, and was a retired engineer, employed for Pratt Whitney Corp. He was married Dec. 27, 1969 in Hartford to Anne Dalton. Mrs. Male died in 1984.

He worked part-time at the Blackledge Country Club in Hebron, where he was a member of the Men's Club, and was an avid golfer, skier and bow hunter. He is survived by a son, Steven Male of Colchester; a daughter, Sherrl Hayden of Anson, Maine; and a granddaughter. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Saturday, 11:15 a.m., at the Belmont Funeral Home, 144 S. Main Colchester, where a funeral procession will proceed, to New St. Andrew's Cemetery, Colchester, for a 12 noon graveside service.

He was born in Albany, and had lived in Hartford most of his life. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee. He was an Army veteran of World War 1 1, a member of the American Legion McKinney King Post No. 142, and a member of the Tuscan Lodge No. 17 A Prince Hall Affiliates.

Mr. Marshall was an employee of the State of Conn. Dept. of Transportation for 26 years, retiring in 1971. He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Rivers) Marshall; a sister, Annie Marshall Watson of Hartford; two nephews; a niece; other relatives; and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 12 Battle Hartford. Burial in Soldiersfield, Wilson, with military honors. MAXWELL. Alfred L. Maxwell, husband of Helen (Cash) Maxwell, of Glastonbury, died Wednesday (Aug. 16) in Hartford Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had resided in Glastonbury since 1974.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Department of Housing, City of New York. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War 1 1, ha ving served on the U.S.S. Leon. Besides his wife, he leaves his daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Edward F.

Gillespie of Glastonbury; his mother, Marie Maxwell of East Hartford; and two granddaughters, Jeanne and Kathleen Gillespie, both of Glastonbury. Funeral will be Saturday, from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Glastonbury, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 9 a.m., at St. Paul Church, Main Street, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the funeral home today, 7-9 p.m., and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. MCTEAGUE. Raymond W. McTeague, 85, of the Elmwood section of West Hartford, and Lake Worth, husband of Bertha (Czap) McTeague, died Tuesday (Aug. 15) at his home in Elmwood.

Born in Providence, R.I., he had lived in Hartford for many years, moving to West Hartford in 1942. Mr. McTeague had been with the U.S. Postal Service for 42 years, retiring in 1966 as the Assistant Postmaster, Hartford. He was a member of the West Hartford Squires, and was a communicant of the Church of St.

Brigid, West Hartford. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Bertrand L. McTeague of Noank, Terrence R. McTeague of Westerly, R.I., Daniel C. McTeague of San Jose, and Emmett J.

McTeague of Simsbury; a sister, Mrs. Helen Tierney of Hartford; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral procession will be Friday, 9:15 a.m., from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain West Hartford, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in the Church of St. Brigid. 16) at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Boston, she lived in East Granby since 1965. Mrs. Moritz had been employed by the East Granby Board of Education for 23 years, retiring in June of 1989.

She was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church In Tariffville, and was a member of the Suffield Chapter AARP, and the East Granby Senior Citizens. She leaves her husband, Charles E. Moritz; a daughter, Mary Ann Moritz of Suffield; a brother, Thomas Davis of Dorchester and two sisters, Eileen Parker of Bridgewater, and Virginia Carter of Bailey Island, Maine. DEATH NOTICES DeVEAU. Russell S. DeVeau, 56, of Pembroke Pines, died Tuesday (Aug. 15) in Cinnaminson, N.J. Born in Hartford, he had resided in East Hartford for over 20 years, prior to moving to Florida six years ago.

Prior to his retirement, he was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Wethers-field. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is sur- vived by a daughter, Kathleen A.

DeVeau of Willimantic; two sons, Russell L. DeVeau of Wethers-field, and Gregory A. DeVeau of Ellington; two brothers, Roy DeVeau of Texas, and Robert DeVeau of New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews. Hall, 75, of 117 Oak-wood West Hartford, died Wednesday (Aug. 16) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. He was born in Lincoln, R.I., and was formerly of Farmington, before moving to West Hartford 24 years ago. He retired from the former Arrow Hart Hegeman, Hartford.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a member of the Elmwood Senior Citizens, the AARP, and the Arrow Hart Retiree's Club. He is survived by his wife, Shirley L.

(Tambling) Hall; three nieces, Betty Lou Carini of Glastonbury, Nancy Taylor of Bolton, and Mary Thompson of Michigan; and two nephews, Ronald Sloan of Coventry, and Robert E. Sloan of Florida. 16, 1989. She was born in Norfolk, and had lived in the Hartford area for the past 65 years. She was a member of Ha-dassah, and the Tumblebrook Country Club. She leaves a son, Frederick S. Hammer of Memphis, four grandchildren, Dr.

Greg Hammer, Dr. Michael Hammer, Ann Hammer Marshall, and Rachael Hammer; and a great-grandson, Maxfield Hammer. The funeral service will be private. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Weinstein Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

HAYES. Alvin Hayes, 68, Of Wilmont Street, Wethersfield, husband of Sandra (Washington) Hayes, died Tuesday (Aug. 15) at his home. He was born in Stamps, and had lived in Wethersfield for the past 30 years. He was a dental technician at the Avon Dental Lab, retiring in 1987.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and received the Victory Medal. He was a member of the Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church, Hartford, and was a member of the Carpe-Diem Fraternity, Hartford. He was also a member of the NAACP, and a member of the Hartford Jazz Society.

He was active in local politics. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Alvin M. Hayes of Bloomfield; and a stepson, Alexander C. Levy of Hartford; two daughters, Pamela Hayes of West Hartford, and Paulette Anderson of Bloomfield; four sisters, Ruby Wilson of Rocky Hill, Valclne Phieffer of Boston, Doris Wood of Los and Glorice Wilbert of Seattle, eight-grandchildren; and his stepmother, Annie Hayes of Little Rock, Ark. A memorial service will be Saturday, Aug.

19, 12 noon, at the Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church, Hartford. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. BAILEY. Ruby (Lepper) Bailey, 97, of 705 New Britain Hartford, died Wednesday (Aug.

16) at Hartford Hospital. She was the widow of Maurice S. Bailey. Born In Ham-den, she had lived in East Haven for many years, before moving to Hartford 15 years ago. She had formerly been employed as a school teacher, and was a member of the Foxon Congregational Church, East Haven, and the East Haven Grange.

Survivors include, three grandchildren, Richard C. Bailey of Rocky Hill, Susan B. Struzenski, and Mark A. Bailey, both of New-ington; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Charles R.

Bailey. A graveside service will be today, 2 p.m., at the Bare Plain Cemetery, North Branford. Memorial donations may be made to the Foxon Congregational Church, 1225 N. High East Haven 06512. The Newlng-ton Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair has charge of arrangements.

BLACK. Dewitt C. Black, 25, of 44 Westchester Road, Colchester, died Tuesday (Aug. 15) at Hartford Hospital. He was born April 13, 1964, in Merced, son of Charles and Corinne (Dom-browski) Black.

He was employed as a carpenter for the White Wheeler Construction Cromwell. In addition to his parents, he leaves a paternal great-grandmother. Amy Maxwell; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Black, all of Merced, a brother, Todd Black of Colchester; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral service will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at the Belmont Funeral Home, 144 S. Main Colchester. Interment will follow In Linwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, 7-9 p.m. DAVIDSON.

Rachel (Levine) Davidson, 90, of 51 Mason Drive, New Britain, widow of Samuel M. Davidson, died Tuesday (Aug. 15) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Hartford, she lived in the Hartford and New Britain area all her life. She was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, class of 1914.

She was one of the leaders of the war bond effort in New Britain during World War II. Mrs. Davidson was a founder, active member, and honorary life board member of the Visiting Nurse Association in New Britain. She was a director of Memorial Hospital in New Britain, a member of Temple B'nai Isarel and its Sisterhood of New Britain, and Temple Beth Isarel and its Sisterhood of West Hartford. She leaves three sons, Donald Davidson of West Hartford, Phillip T.

Davidson of Sims-bury, Lawrence J. Davidson of New Britain; a daughter, Mrs. David (Georgianne) Pollowitz of New Britain; a brother, Attorney I. Oscar Levine of West Hartford; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Nash of West Hartford; thirteen grandchildren, James Pollowitz, Julie Pollowitz, Lawrence Davidson Edwin Davidson, Jodie Shaw, Diana Davidson, Merry Lee Kelleher, Thomas H.

Davidson, Anthony H. Davidson, Wendy E. Davidson, Phillip T. Davidson Cynthia Davidson, and Jeffrey Davidson; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be today, 11 a.m., in the chapel of the Weln-stein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Hartford, with interment in Beth Isarel Cemetery, Hartford.

Davidson Scholarship, which was initiated on her 90th birthday for nursing scholarships at New Britain General Hospital. DAVIDSON. Richard Stanley Davidson 72, of Gloucester Lane, West Hartford, died Monday (Aug.

14) at UCONN Health Center, Farmington. Born June 10, 1917, in Boston, he was the son of Ellis W. and Mildred (Burgess) Davidson. Mr. Davidson served in the U.S.

Navy in World War ll, and had an extensive career in publishing and sailing. His employers included. Progressive Grocer, Chilton Publishing, and Ahrens Publishing. Mr. Davidson was an active member of Asylum Hill Congregational Church.

Besides his wife, the former Eleanor Gibson of Old Say brook, he leaves, two sons, Richard Jr. of Anchorage, and Andrew of Belmont, two daughters, Elizabeth of Hartford, and Barbara Terray of Sarasota, and eight grandchildren; and a dear friend. Gar-nette Johnson of West Hartford. Memorial service will be Friday (Aug. 18), 11 a.m., at Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Hartford 06105.

Rose (Kancler) Petrauskas, 101, of Tunxis Avenue, Bloomfield, widow of Ignas Petrauskas, died Tuesday (Aug. 15) in Bloomfield. Born in Lithuania, she came to this country in 1929, and had resided in Poquonock for 30 years, prior to moving to Bloomfield 30 years ago.

Prior to retirement, she was employed by the Brown Tobacco Poquonock. She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Butvilas; a grandson, Martin Butvilas a granddaughter, Evelyn S. Kelley, all of Bloomfield; three greatgrandchildren, Kimberly Kelley, Christine Kelley, and Laurie Butvilas; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Friday, 9:15 a.m., from the Giuliano-Sagarlno Funeral Home, 247 Washington Hartford, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in Sacred Heart Church, Bloomfield. Interment: Mount St.

Benedict Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home today, 5-8 p.m..
