Martin workers observed the first anniversary of their USO Club at Arrow Acres last night at an "around-the-shift party" in the clubhouse. The party, which began at 8 P. M. and lasted until 3 A. was attended by men and women who work on three different shifts at the aircraft plant.

Those who arrived later in the evening wore their working clothes and mingled on the dance floor with formally attired and uniformed guests. When the club was opened last year, the ceremonies were attended by a number of celebrities, but last night the members put on the show from start to finish. George H. Pickens, of the Martin production department, was master of ceremonies for a program which included two plays presented by the Martin Players, vocal selections by the Martin Minstrels and dance music by the Glenn L's, an orchestra composed of war workers. Speakers included Avery McBee, head of public relations for the Martin plant, and Frank A.
