Stuart of College Park; and a grandson. Elsewhere Rabbi Milton Grafman, 88, a leader in the Jewish community in Birmingham, who opposed segregation but didn't believe demonstrations were the answer, died there Sunday of cancer. Rabbi Grafman, who retired as rabbi of Temple Emanu-El in 1975, took part in the struggle for racial equality in the early 1960s, angering both blacks and whites. In early 1963, he joined 10 ministers in denouncing then-Gov. George Wallace's "segregation now, segregation forever" inaugural speech.

Later that year, he and seven other white clergymen urged the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. to delay a protest in Birmingham. Mr. King responded with his now-famous "Letter from Birmingham Jail." Said Temple Emanu-El Rabbi Jonathan Miller, "He wanted the change to come not through demonstrations on the street but through the processes of civil government." Logue, a bicycle repairman who boasted that he could fix anything but broken hearts, died Saturday of cancer at his home in Parkville. He was 79. Mr. Logue repaired bicycles for more than 50 years at Logue's Sport Shop, his cluttered shop on Monument Street near Milton Avenue in East Baltimore. He closed the business in 1989 and retired.

He had lived in Parkville for about five years. "He used to say he could fix anything except a broken heart," said a daughter, Carolyn F. Abrams of Pasadena. Mr. Logue preferred his window workbench to one in the rear of the shop so that he could keep an eye on the street outside.

He often puffed on a cigar or cigarette while he worked. When he retired, it was because "he got tired of getting broken into, and then his warehouse next door burned down, and he said, 'That's Mrs. Abrams recalled. She said his work was "his entire life." Mr. Logue was the son of Bernard J.

Logue one of Baltimore's pioneering turn-of-thecentury wheelmen. He helped popularize bicycling, and reportedly purchased several bicycles from Orville and Wilbur Wright, who at the time were raising funds to build their flying machine. "The old man from Swampoodle with the wheels in his head," Mr. Logue Sr. liked to refer to himself.

Swampoodle was a Bohemian neighborhood north of Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 1896, he opened a shop at Lafayette Avenue and Division Street, where he repaired and rented tandems, unicycles and high wheelers. He opened a second shop in 1912 at 931 N. Broadway. He passed along his enthusiasm for bicycles to his son.

"I love bicycle work. I love working with my hands," Charles Logue said in a 1984 interview in The Sun. "I'm from the old Clarence T. Marsh Airline, fighter pilot Services for Clarence T. today at the chapel at Fort Myer, Va. Mr. Marsh, who was 41, was killed May 19 when his A-10 jet fighter crashed at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. He lived in Park City, Utah. He is survived by his wife, the former Ann Smyth of Baltimore, whom he married in 1982; a daughter, Lindsay Marsh, and two sons, Clay and Andrew Marsh, all of Park City; his parents, June R.

and retired Army Col. Clarence T. Marsh of Hampton, and a sister, Susan M. Glicoes of Fairfax, Va. Deborah J.

Huber Critical care nurse Deborah J. Huber, a nurse who retired in 1991 because of illness, died Saturday of lupus at her home in Baldwin. She was 37. Mrs. Huber, a certified critical care specialist, began working as a nurse at Maryland General Hospital in 1978, but spent about half her career at St.

Joseph Hospital. She returned to Maryland General and 1984 PHOTO footsteps of his father. Logue, fixed 50 years 79, retired in 1989 school. Somebody comes along with a bent wheel, I'll put a new rim and spokes on their hub. You go somewhere else and they'll say you need a new wheel." Raised in the Swampoodle, he attended St.

Paul's parochial school and quit school in the ninth grade. "My grandfather then put him to work and worked him hard," Mrs. Abrams said. During World War -II, Mr. Logue served in the infantry, while his wife, the former Margaret A.

Holland, whom he married in 1940, ran the shop. He was discharged with the rank of private in 1945. "He used to pedal from Monument Street to Loch Raven Reservoir on a tandem with my mother when they were younger. He still climbed aboard old-fashioned Kangaroos and Grasshoppers, high wheelers from the Gay '90s, and rode in parades until he was in his late 60s," Mrs. Abrams said.

"He taught us how to ride a bike even though I was a little clumsy, and even taught his grandchildren," she said. "He built us bikes out of odds and ends in the shop, and just as I was getting the feel of it, I'd see the bike going out the front door of the shop," said another daughter, Barbara Achziger of New Windsor. "He'd say, 'Don't worry, Honey, I'm putting the money into your bank and then next week I'd have another new bike that he put together. I didn't have a brand new bike until I was 10 or 11," she recalled. Mr.

Logue, who was known as "Buck" or "Logue," raised his family in a rowhouse three doors from his shop. "He had us working in the shop when we were kids, tightening pedals. We had a marvelous childhood," Mrs. Achziger said. Services for Mr.
