The commission, headed by Adjt.Gen. Henry M. Warfield, which Gorernor Harrington recently appointed to study the question of military training for school boys, decided yesterday to recommend compulsory training for all boys over 14 years of age in the public schools, and will likely offer the same rule for boys of that age in private schools. A bill to carry out the recommendation will be submitted to the special session of the Legislature, and the commission will begin drafting it within a few days. Information now is being obtained as to the cost of putting the plan into effect, and the number of boys to whom it would apply.

The commission has nine members, and was named by the Governor under authority given him by the last Legislature. President Peter J. Campbell; of the Senate, who has been a leader in the movement for the training of school boys, put through the Legislature the authorizing measure. The commission was given instructions to go into the whole question of universal military training, but in view of the 1 probability that the Federal Government will handle that problem, no recommendation will be made to the Legislature. We think the best place for our appeal to friends, new and old, is in our part of the exchange between us- in the tires we build.

For that reason, Goodyear Tires in themselves express the policy of our whole institution: value given for value received. They have always expressed that, and they always will, so long as sincere purpose and able effort can accomplish it. Goodyear Service Station Dealers sell tires on the basis of the good that is in them, and on nothing else. They employ no lure of delusive discounts, definite mileage guarantees, so-called "free" service. Every one of these fictitious inducements has to be paid for--we lump the saving and put it back into the tire.

And the money you pay a Goodyear Service Station for tire value buys tire value, and that alone. If you are a Goodyear Tire user, you know already what the Goodyear Service Station method means to you -your tires have computed it for you in extra miles delivered, in extra months of service, in consistent freedom from trouble.
