The troupe will be headed by Pat and Willa LeVola, presenting an act which has won popularity all over the continent.

The LeVolas combine a high class wire act with an equally fine exhibition of juggling and are sure to creat an Impression. Claire Lacey, billed as the dancing divinity, will offer a varied dancing number that is expected to prove highly pleasurable a it will be presented with gorgeou costumes and special stage effects. Lovers of music will he intrigued and entertained by Sharps and Flats, offering a dual accordeon number which is bound to make a hit. Ben and Bob, clever acrobats and hand balancers will complete the program, while Florence Court, the local girl who has scored as Mistress of Ceremonies this week will again officiate in that capacity. Good music, too, will be provided by Bill Moore and the Beacon' justly celebrated stage band.

Bill has two novelty numbers for the coming week, one with comedy effect that will surprise his hearers. Screen feature today, Sunday midnight, Monday and Tuesday will be Swing High, Swing Low, in which Fred MacMurray and Carole Lombard are co starred, and The Bengal Tiger, a Barton MacLane feature. Wednesday, Thursday and Frl dv, Kenny Baker, Alice Brady and others will be seen in Mr. Dodd Takes the Air, and The Man Who Found Himself, with John Beale and Joan Fontaine. Famout Screen Start Are Starred in Fox Feature The stars of The Good Earth, and Captains Courageous, respectively are united in Big City, which opens today for a week's run at the Fox theatre, with Luise Rainer and Spencer Tracy co starred for the first time.

The new picture presents a cross section of American metropolitan life, with Tracy as a New York City taxlcab driver becomes Involved in a war between rival taxicab companies, and Miss Rainer, as his immigrant wife whom he barely saves from depor tation. The veteran character star, Charles Grapewin, heads the large and brilliant supporting cast and i a highlight of the picture is the I appearance in a realistic free for all street battle sequence of such noted names of the sport world as Jack Dempsey, James J. Jeffries, Jimmy McLarnln, Maxie Rosenbloom, Jim Thorpe, Frank Wykoff, Jackie Fields, Man Mountain Dean, Bull Montana and other athletes. One of the picture's scenes is laid in Jack Dempsey's Restaurant, the famous gathering place of sports relebrities having been copied to the last detail. The companion picture for the week will be Dangerously Yours, In which Cesar Romero and Phylli Brooks are co starred, A Star it Born to Open Today at Valour Theatre That gorgeous Technicolor production, "A Star is Born," with Fredric March and Janet Gaynor In the lead roles, comes to the Valour theatre as the feature attraction today, Monda yand Tuesday.

So much has already been written about this picture that it is only necessary to say here that it is one of the finest features ever to come from Hollywood and should be seen by all. The companion attraction on the same program will he the comedy, "Two Wise Maids," in which Allison Skipworth and Polly Moran provide the fun. Wednesday to Friday will bring the historical success. "Mary of Scotland," with Katharine Hepburn as the tumultous Mary and Fredric March in the leading male role. On the same program.

Warren Hull and Patricia Ellis will offer, "Rhythm In the Clouds." Bijou Hat Robinton In Thunder In The City Edward G. Dance Charlie Dance, is a comedy' in which Stuart Erwin has the leading role. The Erwin brand of i characterization is always popular, i and this picture is no exception to that rule. Pictures of the Louis Mann fight I make up what is practically a third feature at the Biiou, while a car 1 toon and the news reel will complete a strong hill. Jean Harlow at Tower In Her First Picture The picture wnlch made a star nf Jean Harlow. "Hell's Angels." comes to the Tower theatre as the I feature attraction for today, Mon day and Tuesday.

This is a dis ttnetly fine picture and in it Miss Harlow shows much promise nf the ability which later raised her to the pinnacle of screen fame. The companion attraction for the same three days will he the Booth Tark ington story, "Penrod and Sam," with Billy Mauch in the leading role. From Wednesday to Friday, inclusive, the Tower will hae Mar lene Dietrich and Robert Donat in their new picture "Knights Without Armor." They are seen in most attractive roles in this. True to old time dramatic form, Bahs' life will be in peril through most of the three acts, so her many friends will wish her well while enjoying her acting, PLAYHOUSE HAS JAMES DUNN IN PERSONAL ACT Winnipeg will welcome the, return of James (Jimmy) Dunn to the stage of the Playhouse theatre starting Sunday midnight. He will present an act especially written for hi personal appearance here, also the doctor's scene from Bad Girl. Many Winnipeg tock goer will recall Jimmy's engagement here a a juvenile lead with the old Permanent Player in 1929, at which time he was a great favorite. Some of the plays, of outstanding calibre at that time, In whirh he appeared were Kongo, Trial of Mary Dugan, The Wooden Kimona, Interference, and Is That So. Recently Mr.

Dunn corripleted a picture In Hollywood for RKO called Love in a Basement. After his run in Winnipeg he is returning to Hollywood to itar in another picture. The Goraon Mantell Dancer are this season's gift In the way of thrilling dancing. Their act applies so mucl entertainment pressure, that the oh's and ah's forthcoming in any audience will certainly be duplicated here. Pep Rodney and Joe Gould, In Exponents of Laffs, are two boyish comedians who rank high.

Their comedy and dances, presented in an original style, are real bull eyes. Ted Lester, The Musical Man, presents a musical act, with originality and dexterity. He plays 12 different Instruments. The Variety Boys present a comedy act which will take any where. This act should prove a stinger In the side of already hila rious mirth.

The screen offering is Lady Be. have, starring Salley Eilers, Neil Hamilton and Grant Mitchell. Accompanying the picture 1 a variety of selected shorts. Sonja Henie in On Thin Ice Comet to Starland Sonja Heinie's picture. On Thin Ice, presenting the skating star in any number of delightful scenes on skates, and figuring in a romantic story, with Tyrone Power is the current attraction at the Starland theatre.

It opened on Friday before rapacity audiences and made a distinct hit. It will continue up to and including Thursday of the coming week. An altogether gay and thrilling vehicle, with an abundance of fine musical numbers, this production presents'such entertainers as Arthur Treacher, Raymond Walburn and Joan Davis in the cast, with Sig Rumann, Leah Ray, Maurice Cass, George Givot and others providing special numbers of much interest. It Is an altogether satisfying opportunity to see the world's greatest ice star in action. The companion plelure will present that great actor, Peter Lorre, in his new mystery picture, Thank You Mr.

Moto, in which he introduces a new and fascinating screen character. Next Friday Deanna Durbin comes to the Starland in her new picture, 100 Men and a Girl, an occasion whirh is bound to be of much interest. James Dunn and May Clark On Screen at the DeLuxe James Dunn and May Clark are to he seen at the De Luxe theatre today, Monday and Tuesday in "Hearts in Bondage, one of Mr. Dunn's best pictures. It is a romance with a touch of comedy and the role allotted to the star Is of the type which he plays with particular acceptance.

On the same program Johnny Weismuller and Maureen O'Sullivan will be co starred In "Tartan Escapes." Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will bring the romance comedy "There Goes My Girl," with Gene Raymond and Ann sothern in the lead roles. Power And Loretta Young Headlined Today At Furby Tyronne Power and Loretta Young are featured in Second Honeymoon which will be the headline attraction at the Furby theatre for th first half of the week.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the Time will offer another good double bill. You Can't Buy Luck, an Interesting modern tale, is presented by an outstanding cast, while Romance In Paris, the companion picture ha Constance Bennett as the leading lady with completely capable support. On Saturday the Romantic comedy, Call It a Day, and the action picture. Blazing Sixes, will open a three days' engagement. Colman at Wonderland In Prisoner of Zenda One of Ronald Colman's best pictures.

The Prisoner of Zenda, In which Madeleine Carroll has the female lead, and Douglas Fair hanks, is seen as Rupert of Hent7.au, is the attraction at the Wonderland theatre today and Monday. Colman, of course, plays the dual role which is the central figure in the story. The production is an excellent one and should please Wonderland patrons.
