"Forecast for Maryland and District of Columbia Mostly cloudy and unsettled today and tomorrow probably local rains; little change in temperature. General Conditions. Pressure was high last night almost generally east of the Mississippi river, and it was low over the western half of the country, with centers of minimum pressure over Colorado and Alberta. This pressure distribution has been attended by considerable cloudiness and widely scattered showers during the last 24 hoars. The temperature was somewhat higher in the Lake Region, the Lower Missouri and Middle Mississippi valleys and the Plains States, and it was lower in Montana and Manitoba.

The outlook is for considerable cloudiness over the Washington forecast dis-trick today and tomorrow and scattered showers. However, the weather will remain generally fair tomorrow in the North Atlantic States and in the Caro-linas. The temperature will not change materially during the next two days. Winds off the Atlantic Coast North of Sandy Hook, moderate westerly, becoming variable Sandy Hook to Hat-teras, moderate variable Hatteras to Florida Straits, moderate southeast and south. We treated you as a tender plant And watched you with great oare; Martha, the Lord said you were too good for earth, So He transplanted vou up there. No -trembling, sad farewell From her quivering lips was heard. So softly she crossed the quiet stream. In a moment to an endless life. She has solved it life's wonderful problem The deepest, the strangest, the last; And into the school of the angels With the word.

forever has passed. TLs strange she sleeps so profoundly. So young, so unworn bv the strife. While beside her brimful of hope's neetnr, Untouched stood the goblet of life. 'Tis needless to talk of the future, The race might have been without tears; God knew all about it and took her'away from the oncoming years; God knows about those who love nim, How hitler the trial must be, And right through it all God is loving And knows so much better thai we.

Gone, but never, never be forgotten. BY HER SAD AND LONELY MOTHER AND DADDY. 19e UULSIIOFF. ANTIQUE ee ror faie column. (Continued On Next Page.X Tanker Ilammac Arrives With Cargro Ot Beet Molasses From Holland, Capt. Frank Con-way, of the schooner H. II. Conway, writes The Sun that a schooner is sank west-southwest of Tan- gier Island and menaces navigation.

The foremast is out and mainmast apparently gone. The schooner had a new foresail and looked to be of about 200 tons capacity, said Captain Conway, who passed close to the wreck while bound to Weems, but he could not make out a name, he said. Transfers Of Vessels. Transfers of vessel property at the Baltimore Custom House for the week ended yesterday were Tower yacht Dawn II, 21 tons, from George W. Elder, to Clarence R.

Claghorn power schooner Elisha, 5 tons, Gustav Beinbe to Gorman Cummings and George -A. Gummings; power schooner Urange, 15 tons. William A. Granger to Norman M. Shannahan; power boat Messenger, 6 tons, the Arundel Corporation to Frank Liachy one-sixteenth of barge Pacific, 99 tons.

R. Duke Wathen to Thomas J. Hopkins one-sixteenth of barge Wicomico, 418 tons, R. Duke Wathen to Thomas J. Hopkins.

Port Paragraphs. The Italian steamer Oceania and the British steamer Graylight are afloat from Benisaf with 11,645 tons of Algerian ore for the Bethlehem steel works at Sparrows Point. The Japanese steamer Yahe Maru is loading at Sagunto, Spain, for the same delivery. With, coal for Brest, the Italian steamer Tirreno sailed yesterday, and the Norwegian steamer Dagfried arrived to load for a Continental port. The British steamer Strathfillian cleared for Dunkirk with a cargo of coke.

The tanker Ilammac arrived from Vlaardingen, Holland, with a cargo of beet molasses for the Fleischmann Yeast Company. As the owners of the cargo have no storage facilities for the molases the discarded tanker Brindina was taken alongside and the contents are being pumped into her. Although cargoes of thousands of tons of coal and coke are leaving here every day to supply foreign orders, the Bethlehem Steel Company is using the steamer Mangore in bringing cargoes of 6,000 tons of coal every few days in that vessel from Newport News and Norfolk to Sparrows Point. The ship discharges in a few hours, sails and within 48 hours is back again. Theodore H.

Tampa May 9. Auto Firm Buys Building Of Southern Supply Co. Latter Concern Plans To Erect Structure Jfear Old Site On Calvert Street. Erection of a new building in the downtown section was foreshadowed by a real estate transaction closed yesterday. A warehouse at the southeast corner of Calvert and Saratoga streets, occupied by the Southern Supply Company, has been acquired by the firm of J.

R. Hunt automobile supplies, 206 North Calvert street, through "William Merriken, for a consideration said to have been about $100,000. The building is a five-story structure, having a frontage of approximately 30 feet, with a depth of about 00 feet to Davis street. The purchasing company will take possession of the property. in March, 1924, it was said.

Plans now are being prepared for the erection of a four-story-and-basement building for the occupancy of the Southern Supply Company at 315-319 North Calvert street, which property was acquired by the company several years ago. Besides the Calvert street property the supply company owns properties at 310-316 Guilford avenue, running through to Davis street, with railroad siding. GIVEN FATHER'S ESTATE Will Of William F. Under Agreement To Divide Profits. The Kensington railway case has been settled by the Public Service Commission. R. H. Phillips, who holds control of the road, yesterday signed a contract under which the road will be operated by the Capitol Traction Company, of Washington, under an agreement by which any profits that may be made will be divided after costs of operation and maintenance are provided for.

1 Residents of Kensington and vicinity have raised $13,500 to be used in putting the road in condition. The Capitol Traction Company will put in additional funds for the same purpose, all of which will be represented by income bonds. The traction company will furnish the equipment and operate the road as a direct line from the center of Washington to the end of the Kensington line. The case has been a source of worry to the Public Service Commission for several years, and members of the commission congratulated each other when the matter finally was settled by the signing of the contract.
