Mildred Babe Didrikson Zaharias, who admitted that she "shoots against men's par," increased her lead in the Women's Open golf event at Tam O'Shan-ter yesterday by firing a par equaling 76 to add to a first round of 70, for a hole total of 146. By her own standards men's par is 72, the Babe had a disappointing round, but it still left her right strokes in front of the field of 28 talented feminine golfers who are participating in Tam O'Shanter's crowded golf extravaganza. Jameson Hanson tied Mrs. Zaharias' closest pursuers are two veteran campaigners, Betty Jameson of San Antonio, and Beverly Hanson of Pasadena, who have identical scores of 7678154 at the halfway mark. A stroke behind this pair is Louise Suggs of Carrollton, former women's amateur champion, with 7778155.
