The jury of 11 women and one man took the case Friday: It rec accompany him to the Wolfner home to collect $20,000 that Piech said Wolfner owed a friend of his. Wolfner said he owed no such debt and did not know any of the robbers. Wolfner reported that property still missing consisted of his 3Va karat diamond ring valued at platinum diamond cuff links and studs valued at $1,000, and his wristwatch valued at $250. Approximately $1,000 in small denomination bills left in the basement, $800 from Wolfner's wallet and $20 belonging to his daughter, Mrs. Patricia Bacher, was also missing but the bandits surrendered $460.

Wolfner's wife, Violet, 46, widow of Charles W. Bidwill, wealthy sports figure who died in 1947, said she believed the robbers had hidden the remainder of the money in the basement and that it would be found eventually. Fur Pieces Found The bandits took $980 from a dresser drawer in the basement, $200 irom a purse on top of the dresser, and about $800 from Wolfner's wallet and pockets.
