Xavier university, Cincinnati, before coming to Loyola in 1928. He remained there until 1931, when he became a member of the mission band of the Society of Jesus. In 1941 he was made student adviser at St. Ignatius' High school, Cleveland. Father Walsh was taken ill while conducting a retreat for the nurses at St.
